![]() Hello, and welcome to everyone who has come all this way to look at my bio! I've been writing for years, since I was eight, at least. I've always loved reading, and some of my favorite stories led me to becoming a fanfiction author. Along the way, my interests branched out from writing solely about horses and the Wild West of Nevada and mustang country, to Narnia and the Pevensies. From there my world grew to embrace thousands of my other childhood literary loves--mystery, magic, adventure, spies, pirates, fantasy, science fiction, superheroes, fairy tales, and Norse mythology. I've read The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Sherlock Holmes, Beowulf, and James Bond. I built up a sound argument about treating Tolkien like the greatest gift to high fantasy, and I can prate on for hours about the complexity and family dynamic of Marvel's Loki; I love BBC's Sherlock adaptation but I despise series 4 (wretched writing), and don't get me started on historical fashion for women from the Victorian periods to the Edwardian. It's one of my particular fascinations and I could go on for days. I have a blog, for anyone interested (shameless plugging, I know; but, I have come too far for anything else) www . windy darlington . wordpress . com (just pull out all the gaps when you log it into your search engine) I enjoy writing about all sorts of different things in all manner of genres; but I love romance the best, being a hopeless romantic myself and someone who just wishes everyone a happy ending. However, never fear in my writing (unless I rate it otherwise) for anything unsavory or uncomfortable. I don't like to be explicit or erotic. If you've come to read my stories to escape romance. . . you're sadly come to the wrong establishment. Romance frequents here often and with abandon. Another thing I enjoy doing is writing historically. Be it fantasy or fiction or Narnia or LOTR. I love the medieval atmosphere and the vast epicness of that sort of setting. A lot of my fanfics will be historical. Either AUs, UAs, or canon-following fanfics. I hope you enjoy my stories! And please, do know that if you'd ever like to talk to me, I'll gladly reply! I love meeting new people and discovering new interests! Anyone is welcome to my small space of existence, my books, my cake, and my tea; as long as you're come to offer something meaningful and not just ridiculous chain letters or dares or what-not. May we meet in ever-pleasant company, Darlington |
