So the story that I'm writing is called Beating Heart. It is based off the novel Northern Lights by Nora Roberts. She is an incredible author, and everytime I read a book by her I also picture the characters from High School Musical. So now after a year of imagining I've decided that I'm going to create my own story based off of one of her books. Some things will be similar. The plot line for example will remain almost the same. There will be murder, a killer, a lot of events will be similar, but my dialogue and actions will differ. I will never do anything word for word because I believe that is wrong, unless you credit the source you copied from.

Title: Beating Heart

Summary: Troy Bolton is running from his past, and to do so he must leave the lower forty-eight states and move all the way to Lexing, Alaska. Lexing is a town of seven hundred or less people. It's there that on New Year's Eve he kisses Gabriella Montez. In that one kiss he is hooked. Hooked on her looks, personality, and bluntness. Murders occur shortly after their kiss, and the murders could possibly put Gabriella in danger. It's up to the Chief of Police, Troy Bolton, to save his new home; his family.

Title: Death

Summary: Gabriella Montez is the Chosen One. She has fought hard for ten years against demons, death, and forces of darkness. She's used to protecting herself, her friends, and her heart. So why is it that when Troy Bolton comes to town, her heart turns against her and lust takes over? Will she ever make peace with herself? Troy Bolton sure isn't making it easy for her.
