TLJ: spoilers! Two weeks after TLJ, Rey finds herself on an old Rebel base, trying to protect herself with the Force-but Kylo Ren finds a way to break through.

He wants her, she wants him, but there is a galaxy between them and others are showing interest as well. What If saving him, means breaking him? "I'll destroy her," rings in his ears and he's shocked by how shamed he is he ever said those words. He'd meant them, oh how he'd meant them. He'd been lost to his rage and he'd thought he could … he knows now that he could never hurt her. Kylo struggles with Rey's rejection and a new threat pushes them together again.

"Hope is the most dangerous weapon." Dark and Light: Two conflicting ideals locked in eternal combat. Seeds of doubt begin to corrupt Kylo Ren's philosophy after the failed attack on Crait. Desperate to cast aside the lingering effects of Rey's Force connection, he finds himself forced to confront his growing conflict to keep Rey from plunging into the Darkness he knows too well.

The flame of the Resistance is nothing more than embers, scattered across the Outer Rim. After escaping from Crait to the icy world of Hoth, the remaining members do their best to rebuild while waiting for allies. Meanwhile Rey must contend with the connection she still shares with Ben, and the destiny they seem to share but neither can accept.

Set to the tune of: Unbreak My Heart by Toni Braxton. I wish FFN let us do tags. Force Ghosts will probably troll the characters. Operation Save Ben Solo. Rey and Ben are both impulsive. Reylo is Reverse Anidala. I guess other characters can be in this story. What happens when they start rendezvousing in person? This story is my catharsis after TLJ made my heart explode.
