The name Skaimya [/sky-ME-ah/] is the acronym of the alias Kamiya Saki (神谷咲希) I used to have, and many of my friends from the Chinese community still call me “咲希” or “希”.

I believe in sunshine and smile, and I think the combination of the two is sunflower. I also believe in God, who is the creator of all things.

I am an amateur writer who writes Chinese fiction and also English fiction. I have also written fan fiction and poetry. I go by the same pen name for both Chinese and English writings, and it is the name that I’m the most satisfied. (And this is coming from someone who used to switch pen name once every week.) The name does not have a meaning itself, but I guess my personality will define the name.

Some of my favourite authors are Terry Pratchett, 席娟, HeiGon, 金庸, Diana Wyne Jones, Phillip Pullman, etc. My writing is quite heavily influenced by what I’m reading at the time of writing, so my style tends to change from time to time.
