I am a young woman from The Netherlands. I am a qualified veterinarian-assistant, but I don’t work as such. I’m currently following another study (nearly graduated!) to become a staff member of a hospital laboratory (my speciality is microbiology).

I like to read, collect books, sing, listen to music and, when I have time, watch some TV/movies.
TV series I liked to watch as a young girl and still do now that I’m ‘grown up’ are: Thunderbirds, Knight Rider and Zorro (Disney (’57-59) as well as New World (’90-’93)). Series I watch nowadays are: House, Castle, Downton Abbey, Merlin and Game of Thrones.
Movies I like include the Lord of the Rings trilogy and Pirates of the Caribbean (The Curse of the Black Pearl is the best one in my opinion).
On the gaming front: I’m currently playing (and obsessed with) The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

I am also a great fan of Tolkien. I have read The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Silmarillion and The Children of Húrin. Some of them I’ve read more than twice, so yes, you could call me slightly obsessed on this front too. ;-D
Another obsession of mine is to collect Biggles books from W.E. Johns. Wonderful adventure books, filled with aeroplanes, exotic surroundings, danger... what more do you need to escape the boring reality that is called life? Currently, almost 90 of them grace my bookshelf and I've read every single one of them multiple times. Talk about being obsessed... ;-)

Well, enough about my movie and book interests. There is just one more thing I want to say to all of you who bother to read my profile:
When I signed up to this site I had the intention to write some fanfic of my own, but unfortunately I don’t have much time to write. I do have some stories on my hard disk, waiting to be finished (one of them is about to see the light). But it is my policy to never post something unless it is finished. I truly hate it when I read a story only to find out that it isn’t finished. I don’t want to do that to my future readers, so that is why I want my stories finished first before I post them. Just so you know why a long time registered member doesn’t have any published fanfiction of her own at this moment.
