Introduction

Hello there. My name is Shalyn, or Shay for short, and I'm 18 years old. I'm a tomboy and self-taught artist, who enjoys drawing everything from horror to anime. Currently I am a freshman in college who is getting all the general courses out of the way.

I'm not a strong writer, as all my practice comes from role-playing, but I do enjoy writing in my spare time. I'd appreciate it if you would leave critiques, so that I may improve my writing skills. I prefer to write horror, science fiction, and fantasy stories, usually incorporating some romance into them. Often I find myself lacking motivation to finish a story I have started, mostly due to my short attention span. I have a habit of creating new story ideas while in the middle of writing one.

I don't like using canon characters in my stories or using them in any way. This is because they do not belong to me and I don't feel comfortable using them. For franchise wise, whether it is role-playing or story writing, I prefer putting my characters in an AU setting of the franchise they belong in. I try not to break canon in any way, as I don't feel comfortable doing so.
