Admittedly, there are some days when I want to be a rich old spinster, living in a forgotten mansion, in the middle of a forgotten place, with numerous dogs for company. As it stands, I'm really a 'just out of college' poor, semi-young, spinster-ish gal, in the middle of Illinois, with only one Terrier/Border Collie mix. My dreams clearly need more investment.

To those of you who might remember me under a different authorship, I apologize for any confusion. I've been here for a very long time (eleven years, to be exact) and my growing writing style has altered my pen names. My muse is a fickle friend, to be sure.

Pertinent information regarding my authorship and writing style:

As of right now, every story I have published here is incomplete. That is honestly the most depressing thing I have ever typed, excluding "I'm really a 'just out of college' poor, semi-young, spinster-ish gal". I do have several drafts sitting patiently in my laptop, which is unfortunately in need of serious repair. Whether I get around to finishing and publishing said drafts is still to be determined.

New stories might be popping up here and there, most likely under different fandoms from those I have previously published. Fickle muse, remember?

Also: Punctuation has never been a friend, and I abuse commas to the point of (sometimes obvious) misuse. I suppose such disregard for some grammatical rules makes my writing more poetic than prosaic.

Weaknesses aside, my strengths as a writer center around character development and interaction. I'd rather be writing an intimate conversation between two people than a beautiful description of the scenery or an exciting battle sequence.

Current Interests:

TMNT, Aliens/Predator, Beauty and the Beast, Psych, Inuyasha, etc.

Irritations:

Poorly-conceived original characters, misuse of canon characterizations without explanation, summaries that tell you 'I suck at summaries'.

Obsessions:

Imperfect, gruff, beastly heroes. Witty and unconventional heroines. "Trapped together" scenarios, no matter how overused and often ridiculous (I have to wade through the bad to find the good, unfortunately). Drawn-out romance. Where's the fun if everything happens in the first chapter?

Je Pretend Que Tu Fais Bien - indefinite hiatus. I still love Fruits Basket, but the story is very old and a long way from being complete. I want to invest my energy elsewhere.
