AU/ When the new neighbour, Alex Vause, moves in a few doors from Piper Chapman; the idealistic waitress who has lived a blissfully single life, sparks begin to fly and egos start to clash. It's a hate-love relationship that turns fiery right from the beginning.

Dr. Chapman is a leading neurosurgeon completely focused on her career, with no time for life's frivolities. Alex, a paramedic, is a frivolity the good doctor finds herself making time for. Vauseman plays doctor. T for now but M is coming. Excuse the pun. Ps. Slooooow burn.

We know so much of the explosive chemistry between Alex and Piper in prison. But we know so little of their chemistry before it all happened. This is my attempt in filling in...everything in between. Might go into the prison Vauseman as well, but that's TBD.
