 I'm not really sure how to go about doing this, so here's some stuff about me and the shows/movies/books/music that I enjoy. About Me: My name is Ariel and I'm a high school senior in Louisville, KY who loves hockey (Go Pens!), dogs (I have four), and procrastinating on my homework. My favorite colors are blue, black, grey and purple. I speak French and am in the process of learning Arabic, so if you speak French, send me a message and I'll be glad to chat with you :) I like to write when I get random ideas that I can't get out of my head but they rarely go anywhere, so I'm pretty much just on here as a reader/reviewer. Maybe if I have something worth posting one day, I'll consider putting it up. English is one of my favorite subjects and I'm pretty good at it, if I do say so myself, so if you need someone to look over your stuff (beta, I think, is the term), then let me know and I'll do my best to help. Favorite Shows: NCIS (though I'm considering not keeping up, now that Ziva is gone); NCIS LA (missed the last season finale, though, so...); Vampire Diaries; shows like Ghost Hunters and The Dead Files; real-crime shows like on Investigation Discovery; The Big Bang Theory; Bones Favorite Movies: The Phantom of the Opera (with Gerard Butler); Almost Famous; Citizen Kane; Mulan; The Hunchback of Notre Dame (I adore God Help the Outcasts and Hellfire); Aladdin; The Lion King and Lion King 1 1/2; Tangled; Chasing Liberty; The Mummy franchise; pretty much anything with romance, comedy, and a bit of action Favorite Books: Chicagoland Vampires series; Hush, Hush; The Violet Eden Chapters; The Night World Series; Vampire Academy and spin-off series; Daughter of Smoke and Bone; and most of the books by Deirde Martin and Rachel Gibson. I'll read pretty much anything YA, especially if it involves vampires or fallen angels, although a lot of that stuff has gotten pretty cliche. I also borrow my 25 y/o sister's romance novels sometimes, so I don't mind if things are a little more 'graphic', though I do have my limits. I like stories with humor, action, and romance all rolled into one, with bonus points if it has a new spin on an old theme. Artists I listen to: Meatloaf (although his last two albums aren't his best work, at all); Taylor Swift (Fearless is my favorite album of hers); Rascal Flatts; Avril Lavigne (especially Why, Nobody's Home, My Happy Ending, and Complicated); some Bon Jovi; some Billy Joel (love Only the Good Die Young); Katy Perry; Keith Urban; and One Direction (if I'm in the mood). I mainly listen to Country/Pop Country, although I do like some Pop and some older rock. Fandoms: Here's where it gets tricky. I'm currently exclusively reading Buffy: The Vampire Slayer fanfic, but I freely admit that I have only seen two episodes, OMWF and The Body, which I happened to catch during an all-night marathon over the summer. I've looked the series/characters up on Wikipedia and read a ton of the fanfic, so I know the main events of the series, although there may be a few details which I've missed. I've toyed with the idea of watching the series on Netflix, but I'm a Spuffy shipper and I know how that turns out in the series, so honestly, I doubt I'll be watching. I prefer to not have Buffy as the b* she is towards Spike on the show, which is why I read the stuff that I read. Extra: I'm starting to run out of satisfying, compelling, plot-driven Spuffy stories (read: I am a fast reader with a lot of time on my hands), so if you like any of the stories/authors I've favorited and want to recommend something to me, feel free. Oh, and I'd like to recommend the fanfic written by Slaymesoftly. This is not as a favor or anything to the author, I simply have read/enjoy pretty much every Spuffy fanfic the author has posted, and I'd like to encourage others to take a look. Again, I'm just stating a personal preference here and if you'd like to recommend any authors/stories, please let me know.
