As she helps Sherlock cope with Mary's sacrifice, Molly realizes the detective's similarities to her favorite literary heartthrob. Deciding she's no heroine, Molly vows to finally get over Sherlock for good. Thankfully Fitzwilliam was nothing if not persistent.

Molly is feeling frustrated and when her friend mentions a sex club in London she finds she can't get thoughts of it out of her mind. Post season 4 and Sherlock has a family event that he can't afford to attend unaccompanied. Cue Molly Hooper stepping in as the fake girlfriend. First they need to get familiar with each other and then they need to pass as a couple without being found out. Trouble is at what point with the acting become reality. Sherlock needs a decoy wife for a case; and Molly is more willing to help than she wants to admit. It might have something to do with his chosen disguise.

Alcohol has a habit of loosening the lips, as Sherlock discovers when he escorts his tipsy pathologist home from a night out with Mary. Molly's got nothing left to lose and some very definite opinions about Sherlock's purple shirt.

Molly was happy with her life. She's got a job she loves, a nice flat, her cat, and she's even begun dating again (now that she's over her infatuation with Sherlock, mostly). Then Sherlock dragged her out for a few hours of dress up and undercover work, and everything started to go to hell in a hand-basket. Written for the 2015 Sherlolly Big Bang on Ao3.
