Bramblestar and Ivypool are in a happy relationship until Crookedstar runs off with Berrynose. After Bramblestar dumps Ivypool for Toadstep, Flametail gets upset and retaliates by dating Toadstep.(See #30) Alone and broken-hearted, Ivypool travels in search of a friend. Finally, Ivypool meets Greystripe and Berrynose. The three loners meet Mouswhisker, who tells each of them to look for love. Greystripe finds Blackstar (Again, Blackstar!), Berrynose gets Mothwing, but now Bramblestar is stuck in a never-ending love triangle with Tawnypelt and Runningnose.
