I am a very complex college student who has an extreme obsession with books and chocolates. I love reading basically all kinds of fiction, especially when the author of said genre could portray the characters magically and uniquely. I adore those writers that has the ability to create a wonderful plot that when read, you could practically see the events and the twists jump off the page as the words become a vessel that transports your mind into a new world full of adventure and mystery.

And the best ability of all that only an excellent author may possess is the capability of enticing and igniting the passion and the constricting emotion of the reader as eyes skittle across the white stretch full of whirlwind of wonders that could only materialize using well placed words and harmonious incidents. Most people say that I am a very fickle reader -- very vain and a challenge to please (much like Erik)... but don't misunderstand me, my dears, I may be complex but I am normal... though that contradicts, doesn't it?

So anyway, books and authors are, basically, the best gift the Almighty has given to mankind and it really is an honor when you are blessed with the rare capability of writing a unique composition of fiction and non-fiction, in which one can pen his mind and use merely terms and expression in order to create a masterpiece full of colors and events.

It is like being a deity in our own way. :D

A utopia where imagination and fantasy exists is a dystopia where crisis and limitations vanishes...

And so, enough of all the formal talk...

Did I mention that I am freakishly obsessed with Phantom of the Opera? No? Well then...

Close your eyes and surrender to your darkest dreams... purge all thoughts of the life you knew before...

Haha. I've always liked quoting after Erik. Of all the gothic fiction I have read he is the only character that piked my interest the most. His life is a living paradox... and I absolutely love paradoxes. It would take a genius that can rival or surpass him in order to fully understand the workings of his mind... a mind that continuously and eternally circles around Christine, death and the impossibility or validity of acceptance and love.

He's the greatest challenge in literal history and I have been trying all my might to decode him... but seeing as I could only figure him out if he's actually tangible and real and speaking with me, I think my chances are hand in hand with the odds...

The first time I've read about Erik -- in Susan Kay's Phantom -- I have been associating him and Christine with both Hades and Persephone and the Beast with Beauty. It seemed that all three of them are not so very different from one another. Their story started with Fear, uncertainty and trepidation until they grew comfortable with one another, develop friendship and share trust... until the rightful moment of -- dare I say it -- initiating love and unending passion.

In my younger years, I used to think Erik is the bad guy from Christine and Raoul's happily ever after... and then I read Kay's book and I was like, "Well... dang it."

I then realized that what Leroux and Kay were portraying was not Erik's flaws and unhinged ways and the delusional fantasy of Raoul and Christine... but the logical consequence of a very harsh upbringing and the deep connection between two people who share a common passion, a feeling so very potent that even if the past and history attempted to hinder, can never be broken.

And I definitely love how Kay, Leroux and even the great Andrew Lloyd Webber did it. Man, those people are geniuses!

And so... the babbling has ceased, hahaha. I wonder if Nadir feels the same way whenever he tries to reason with a stubborn Erik... There are some phanfics I've read about them having this paternal/brotherly relationship... which I think is very cute, BTW.

So apparently, I am an EC shipper for life and I am Raoul-friendly. I don't hate him but I don't like him, either. In my opinion, he's just in the wrong place at the wrong time and managed to fall in love with the wrong girl but meh... we all can't help who we fall in love with.

So just in case we all share a common love regarding book themes, please read my stories that I will be posting in the near future and I really do hope you'll enjoy them.

Au revoir!
