![]() Author has written 10 stories for Pokémon, Danny Phantom, Young Justice, Avengers, and Doctor Who. Greetings! Nice of you to mosey on over to my profile, but I'd like to make it short and sweet! My name: energetically.chary Important: My main focus is "Redefining Hero" as a story right now because I am so, so close to finishing it that I just want to get it done! I love writing it, though, don't get me wrong! Current stories: Danny Phantom 'Organized Chaos'. It's bascially my playbox. Whatever comes to mind will show up there and all that good jazz. It's a Danny Phantom orientated drabble box. So yeah. I would love challenge fics. Just saying. I've never done one before.Updated: Whenever the inspiration strikes me. Chasing Destiny: Do expect to see more DP fics from me though. I have a long list of ones I'm itching to write. Young Justice Legacies: My equivalent to Organized Chaos, but this one is for "Young Justice", the TV show on Cartoon Network. It will revolve around all the characters from the show, hopefully and will consist of oneshots and drabbles. Updated: Whenever the inspiration strikes me. Redefining Hero: A story revolving around the real Roy Harper and what happens to him after he wakes up from his cyrogenic pod. It is angsty and it is very, very dark. It draws elements both from the original comic story of Harper and his journey and the Young Justice show. I will not ignore either line and will try to balance it. It is set to have SIX parts and will focus, obviously, on Roy. Part 1 "Waking Up" Status: Completed and posted (4/24/12) Catching Up: Inspired by the lack of appearance by one of my favorite characters, Wally West. That and I was tempted to write a Wally/Artemis story as I'm completely against the Spitfire pairing (flame me if you'd like; I'm fine with arguing on this point). It's set in the "Invasion" season and is, as of now, a one shot revolving on Wally and Artemis reconnecting. I may add a second chapter. Everbody Lies: A series of one shots inspired from lyrics by the song "Everybody Lies" by Jason Walker. Each chapter will focus on a specific member of the show and have something to do with lies. It will examine what the lies have done to them, what it will do them, what lies they have said or what lies have been said to them. It's a dark collection, I hope to accomplish. Each one shot will be tagged by a song lyric and I will attempt to go in order. The Avengers Attendance Mandatory: My attempt at humor and character study rolled into one. My OC, Rhea, will act as a psychiatrist hired by S.H.I.E.L.D to try and coax the Avengers to discuss their feelings and get them to dig down deep. Right. Easier said then done. Especially when it comes to the Avengers. Insults will fly, insecurities brought up, and resolutions reached. If the office isn't destroyed and Rhea isn't killed first. Important: I will not be updating "The Price of Our Past" only because I feel that it is completely impossible for me to continue writing it. I apologize to all those who submitted to me a character and who were looking forward to a story. My sincerest apologies for having wasted your time and your creative efforts. Believe me when I say: "It's not you, it's me." For Readers of REDEFINING HERO Back in the 1970s, the Green Arrow, Green Lantern crossover serialization was about to be cancelled. The writers decided to go out with a bang and do something that wasn’t acceptable in the comic business back then: do a social commentary. See, back in the ‘70s, DC and Marvel had written these things called the Comic Codes and one of the codes forbade the talk of anything that commented on society social, politically, etc. However, they had a conference and revised the codes and changed that. So the writes of the Green Lantern Green Arrow serialization decided that they would tackle one of the biggest problems of that decade: drug usage. And they chose Roy as their candidate because they believed that it would be more impactful if they used an existing hero and Roy, in the comic verse, had just lost a big part of his family. The Teen Titans, later Titans, he was a part of was disbanded and Ollie, along with Hal and Canary, were on a trip without him. He felt abandoned and he turned to drugs. The two part story, entitled “Snowbirds Don’t Fly” and “They Said It’ll Kill Me, They Just Didn’t Say When” focused on Ollie’s discovery of his ward’s usage of heroin and his addiction to it. There was plenty of commentary on that and the fact that racism was still very prominent in that era. The story won an award, the Shazam! Award and became a huge part of comic history. Hell, the cover for the issue is pretty recognizable. I almost bought a shirt with that picture on it. And Roy’s drug problem, while resolved there, does come back in later comics. However, if you do want it back or something like that, then please, drop me a PM and such. I'm lacking any and all creative ideas and inspirations. Honestly, the reason I never logged on to this account was actually because I forgot my password...yes, I know, I'm a ditz. :D Oh well... .chary |
