He drove back home to New York and confided in an old friend. This story follows Jess in New York and Philadelphia when he wasn't on screen. Rory and Jess are endgame.

With graduation looming, Rory thinks about her future, realizes Logan isn't a part of it and calls an old friend for advice. Turning to the person who knows her best, she looks to Jess to help her figure out her life. Things change; people grow up. It's a story of young love lost and maturity found. Set after Will You Be My Lorelai.

By Rory's junior year at Stars Hollow High she's got a pretty good grip on who she is... until Jess moves to town. She never thought she'd start second guessing herself and her relationship, but Rory is starting to learn that maybe she doesn't know what type of girl she is at all. Starts at episode 2x05, Nick & Nora/Sid & Nancy.

Post-finale Literati (with JavaJunkie as well). Rory bumps into Jess after three years of not seeing him. Sparks fly, coffee spills. Will their timing finally be right? Rated T (or T-Plus) for language and talk of sex (nothing graphic, though).

Rory can't face home after sleeping with Dean, fighting with Lorelai, and touring Europe with her grandma. Running away suddenly looks very appealing, and she's headed towards the one person who always seems to understand her, even when Rory doesn't understand herself. Literati.

Jess is sent to live with his Uncle Luke around the same time that Lorelai and Rory move into their house in Stars Hollow. Getting to know each other from age eleven leads to an evolved relationship for Rory and Jess that was never romantic, but as the best friends reach age sixteen, what might change?
