Getting Castiel back was difficult enough, but now it turns out that his eyes are dull and his self-worth is completely absent. How can Dean possibly get through to him how much he matters to the Winchesters? Alternate outcome to 11x18, if they'd freed Cas and sent Lucifer back to the Cage. Wordy one-shot from Sam's POV. Castiel wants to know what Dean's bucket list is, Sam who is also curious leads Castiel to Dean's room and looks for it. What Castiel finds is intriguing. / inspired by s9 ep8

Prompt: After Castiel ejects Lucifer he is left in an almost catatonic state. Dean vows to take care of him.

Castiel is not useless, unwanted or unloved. And Dean is there to tell him all of this.

Dean and Castiel are hit by a witch's spell which causes them to become children temporarily. Sam takes care of them while kid Dean and kid Cas handle the effects of the spell. One-shot. Destiel at the end.

Cas gets injured on a hunt and Dean looks after him Just a bit of cuddly fluff I wrote at 1am :)

When Dean and Castiel reunite at the bunker, Cas has a nasty case of pneumonia and Dean takes care of him. (Slight AU set early season 9 in which Ezekiel healed Sam without possessing him)

Season 8. When Castiel shows up at the MOL bunker, Dean immediately slips into smotherly mode, i.e forcing Cas to take a shower, making him grilled cheese and putting him to bed. When it comes down to it, Dean doesn't care where Cas has been, he's more interested in where he's going, and more importantly, if he wants to stay. Light fluff. Sweet, fluffy fluff.
