![]() Author has written 57 stories for NCIS, and NCIS: Los Angeles. I'm a Christian. I love God. He is extremely important to me and I try to write in a way that honours Him and also makes for a good story. This profile is exclusively for NCIS stories. In my G rated world it’s Tiva, McAbby, Gibbs and Abby father/daughter, and the team as really great friends/family. No slash, no unhinted at pairings, although I'm open to writing members of the team in a relationship with a created character. Any characters who end up in my stories have to play by my rules, so they might look or sound just a little bit different than what you're used to. Writing is my heart and I'm so thankful for the opportunity to be part of this community and share what I love with all of you. I have three stories left that I hope to write after my current series wraps up and then I think I'll be done. I always tell people I'll be here as long as God allows and grants the inspiration. After that I look forward to working on my own original fiction for kids, teens, and adults. Thank you all for an experience I will never forget: for your friendship, your support, your encouragement, your patience, and being a reason for me to keep pushing forward. I will always be grateful - Aliyah My Jibbs story A Price to Pay is set in the Only In My Dreams Universe. Unfortunately I've had to make the difficult decision to discontinue ANB. I would like to finish it, but it's been too long and I just can't get back into that universe. To all the readers who enjoyed this story, I'm sorry. I never wanted to be someone who just stopped in the middle of something. Thank you for all the love and support, it means a lot - Aliyah My first Tiva series is called Remnants of Somalia. My second Tiva series is a work-in-progress and will include 7 parts (one for each season between S4 and S9, plus my version of what happened after the S9 finale) as well as a couple of spin offs to cover missing time during the summers. To make sense, it should be read in this order: Writing Tips - you have to write what's in your heart. It has to capture your imagination, grip you so that you cannot help but tell the story. I started because of the quote - 'If there's a story you want to read that hasn't been written yet, you need to write it.' Find something that inspires you like that. The characters have to be real to you - thoughts, emotions, personalities. You need to know them as well as you know yourself. If it's a story worth writing, it's a story worth putting your whole effort into - taking the time to write, using correct grammar, proper spacing for paragraphs and separating each person's dialogue, and doing thorough research. You need to know what you're writing about and if you don't, you need to find out. Writing is creating a whole new world with people who have a story to share and it takes a brave person to put that story out there for others to read. Don't take criticism too hard, although I know that is easier said than done. If people give good constructive criticism, try to listen and apply it even if you think the way you were doing it was right. That's challenging, but it can be a good way to learn too. I hope this helps even a little bit. Good luck! June 3, 2019 - Hi everyone! I am sincerely sorry it's been so long since I updated MIT. I want to assure you all that I do still plan to come back to it someday, I'm just not sure when at the moment. But it has not been abandoned! Part of the reason for the hiatus was that I needed a bit of a break, the other part was that I fell in love with Middle-earth last winter and have been delightfully lost there in unexpected but very welcome inspiration God gifted me which I never saw coming. My profile for those stories is MELoveStories - https://www.fanfiction.net/u/11114391/MELoveStories if anyone is interested. I wanted to thank Lynn and the other anonymous reviewers who have been checking out my NCIS stories in recent months. I can't reply to people without accounts, but I really appreciate each one. Please feel free to PM me with any questions, I do respond to them when I can and I also do my best to answer reviews from those who are signed in and have PMs enabled. Thank you! ~Aliyah :) |
