Hello! I’m Scarlett Kingston.

It’s not my real name, but as far as pseudonyms go I thought it sounded cool. And no, it’s not a combination of Scarlett Johansson and Alex Kingston, as great as those two women are. I love the color dark scarlet/crimson as it’s the only shade of red I can wear without looking like a tomato (green is actually my favorite color, but Emerald or Juniper sounded too hokey for my tastes ... kind of like stripper names, but you know ...), and Kingston came from zooming in on England on Google Maps and picking the first name I saw.

I’m not an obsessive writer necessarily, but I do love a good story. I’m a huge Star Wars fan and I am still in love with the first Thor movie ... (Thank you, Tom Hiddleston and Patrick Doyle. Say what you will, but Kenneth Branagh did a wonderful job in terms of story construction and thematic follow-through. And I associate good memories with that film ... plus the music. I’m a composer and arranger and while the themes may be simple in nature, that does not make them simplistic. I will say, there could have been a little more development within the music to follow the storyline a bit more, but I digress).

Now that I’ve graduated I’ll have more time to write both more music and more stories (FF and my own works). I removed some of my older stories because let’s be honest, they were embarrassing AF. Aren’t most FFs though? I also enjoy editing, so feel free to contact me about critiquing any writings you have. Even if it’s a fandom I’m not totally well versed in I can still help with editing. Certain foundational elements of a good story apply to any fandom regardless of what we think makes that fandom unique.
