Hi everyone! Some facts about me: I'm majoring in Classical Languages and I love translating Latin poetry, especially Vergil. I'm obsessed with outer space and am a (non-hardcore) sci-fi geek. I've been called a crazy hippie on several occasions, but aside from tree-hugging Pantheism I'm pretty standard :)

Harry Potter is my main fandom. I've listened to MuggleCast for several years and also SnapeCast recently.
I have what my friends tell me is an unhealthy obsession with Severus Snape. Because of the way he gets underappreciated I tend to become annoyed by trio-centric stories. Don't get me wrong: I do love characters like Luna and Neville and Ginny and the DA in cannon, I just don't tend to read fic about them.
I'm particularly fond of Sirius/Remus, Lucius, and...Snarry. I don't know why, but I just like it.

My favorite books include anything by Douglas Adams (especially the H2G2 series, about which I'm teaching a 2-unit class next semester), Augusten Burroughs, Ray Bradbury, and P.G. Wodehouse.
I guiltily read Twilight (no, I'm not one of those girls, but yes Team Jacob), but I don't see the point of writing or reading fic about it since the original series is so much like fanfic already :P
I especially love the Bronte sisters (well, mostly Charlotte and Emily...but I'm trying to give Anne a chance) and Jane Austen, but for now the prospect of fanfiction about such classic literature horrifies me. Maybe later I could see doing some Jane Eyre, but I sort of doubt it.

TV: I adore Doctor Who (mostly the new series and the parts with Rose Tyler), House M.D. and Pushing Daisies.

Movies: Right now I'm having a really big Labyrinth phase (yay Bowie). And I've been initiated into this whole crazy business with the Rocky Horror Picture Show. :)
