Ever since the 7th grade I've wanted to work for DreamWorks Animation. If it weren't for some of their movies, I might not actually be alive.
Madagascar taught me to hold onto your friends no matter what, and because of this I forgive a girl who punched me. I have a group of friends I constantly check up on. Kung Fu Panda taught me to be your own hero and always believe in yourself. I never give up, ever. I always am telling people I want to work for DWA. A lot of my friends are probably tired of me saying that, lol, but thank you for listening! Monsters Vs. Aliens taught me to always be strong and be known. I actually used to be like Susan. At the begining of the movie, she was quiet and outspoken, similar to me in elementary and junior high. After a traumatic event and finding true friends, she becomes something bigger and stronger, enough to stand out in a crowd, just like me. I mean, come on, I'm known as raccoon girl for my eyeliner, the girl that wears armwarmers because of how I dress, and that loud white chick that you can hear down the hallway during school.
For the first time in 4 years, one of my teachers actually told me I wouldn't be able to work for DWA because of my DISABILITY. Let me repeat that: I wouldn't be able to work for DWA because of my DISABILITY. My teacher aid, who basically is best friends with the one that told me I couldn't, told me to not let someone like her get me down, because thats just one opinion of millions out there.
There are many creative people that share or may have my disability, Aspergers Syndrome, or even have some form of autism. Satoshi Tajiri, the creator of Pokemon. Heather Kuzmich, contestant of America's Next Top Model. Leslie Lemke, a blind musician. Matt Savage, child prodigy. Albert Einstein, genius. Hans Christian Anderson, children's author and poet. You catch my drift, right?
The point is, I'm not giving up.
