Does that mean he suffers from some kind of traumatic past?

Maybe he was part of a group of people. A group dedicated to write the worst fanfic ever recorded in history.

And they succeeded, after many hours of planning, joking around and discussing plots. But they paid a horrible price...

They could not live a normal life ever again for what they had created was a monstrosity. A being of eldritch quality. The sheer wrongness of it made each member fall into madness.

Some chose suicide, some continued their work in other fics, spreading their foul 'art' throughout the world.

But shikyoseinen was different.

Knowing what he had done was something that went against all of his being, he chose the path of redemption.

The knowledge that if some people were there to stop him could have saved many life's tore at his soul.

So he cast away his shame, his guilt and his sense of normalcy.

His entire purpose in life was to search for bad quality fics, and then bring them to us.

So that we may judge them. So we write proper reviews for those poor misguided souls who start to gaze at the abyss.

He knows we can't save everyone. Some have gone too far and their pride would become their hubris.

They cannot be saved for every helpful hand will be seen as the accursed flames of jealousy.

But shikyoseinen does not give up. He shall continue on his work until this forum is no more, and then move on to the next.

For his entire purpose in life has already been chosen. And he has no regrets.
