Hey, I'm Loraine and I love to write. I've started several fanfics and I have posted a few on other sites, but my first completed fanfic is Chemistry.

I am a proud sister of SAI (Sigma Alpha Iota, International Music Fraternity for Women) since the Spring of 2006.

I am a science nerd, and writing and reading are my ways of staying sane. Without writing I have the tendency to explode and freak out.

I am married and I have one dog: Blackout, named after the transformer to appease my husband.

The year is 1976 and James Potter has finally agreed to give his adopted sister, Kate, the freedom to date. He has just one rule: his friends are off limits. As their feelings for each other grow deeper though, Kate and Remus will find that rule hard to abide by. Amidst keeping their budding relationship a secret, Kate must also deal with the sudden, and unwelcome, return of her memories that all seem to revolve around her numerous scars and her forgotten childhood. And as though that wasn’t enough, a mysterious group is attacking at random, and no girl in the castle is safe. It’s just another year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

A Harry Potter fanfiction based on the work of J. K. Rowling. All recognizable characters and places belong to her; I simply manipulated them a little. Rated T for teen with mild language, violence, and suggested abuse.

Belladonna. In Italian it means "beautiful lady." It is also known to many as deadly nightshade, a beautiful flower with toxic side effects known to cause psychosis and even death. For Ana, it's the name she must live by, though she doesn't yet know what that means.

Right now, all Ana wants to do is prove she's the best. The best Potions Master. The best at Quidditch. But silly Gryffindors and that Harry Potter, keep getting in her way. Later, Ana discovers that not everything is as simple as black or white, good or bad, pretty or deadly. It's a balancing act everyone must achieve...or attempt to at least.

Even in a world of magic, Ana must fight to balance the ups and downs of being a teenager. From making friends, to keeping friends, to finding a love worth dying for, and everything in between.

The Water is Wide: Complete

A terrible storm tears apart a ship and leaves one girl adrift at sea. Found by two Narnian Monarchs she is taken on board the Splendor Hyaline, and returns with them to Narnia. There she learns the value of friendship, the strength of love, and the importance of honesty. Golden Age. Edmund/OC Romance

The songs of Hayley Westenra are a big influence in the story, as is Hayley Westenra herself in the appearance and voice of Estelle/Aaralynn. Some chapters were inspired by a particular song. Here is a list of those chapters with the song(s) and link to a you tube video of the song just in case you'd like to know what it sounds like.

Chapters 8 and 9, The Mermaid's Song and Song of Blessing: Th Avarian language is similar to, but not exactly like, the Maori language. And thus these chapters were inspired by such songs as Pokarekare Ana and Hine E Hine

Chapter 13, Dark Waltz: Inspired by the song Dark Waltz

Chapter 21, A Truth Untold: Estelle's surprise song for the Four, of which we are told about but never hear, is inspired by the song Let me Lie. I was hoping to write new words to follow in this tune, but I have yet to come up with anything good. The flute part is played by Mr. Tumnus in my version.

Chapter 28, Too Late: The song featured in this chapter is Melancholy Interlude from Hayley's Celtic Treasure album. A very powerful and moving song in my opinion.

The whole story receives its namesake and is inspired in part by the song The Water is Wide. Lyrics can be found at the end of the final chapter.

Never Say Goodbye: (An AU continuation of The Water is Wide) Complete

Four years have passed since Aaralynn and the Pevensies left Narnia through the wardrobe doors, and much has changed between them. Though technically still married by Narnian law, Aaralynn was only eight when she entered the Land of England. She and Edmund soon forgot certain marital affairs, though never their kinship. They stayed in touch through annual visits and frequent letters. But when Aaralynn starts to remember her feelings of "something more" for Edmund, she begins to wonder if his feelings are still reciprocated.

Now, four years after leaving Narnia, Aaralynn and the Pevensies finally return. This Narnia, however, is very different from the one they left.

Over thirteen hundred years have passed. Telmarines now rule the land and the talking Beasts are dead and forgotten, mostly. As Prince Caspian X, rightful heir to the throne, flees the castle of Beaverdam and his uncle's murderous hand, he stumbles upon the fairy tales of old. Under Caspian's banner, the Narnians rally to overthrow Miraz and his men, but there is dissention among them. Not all Narnians are so willing to trust a Telmarine.

Aaralynn and the Pevensies must help the two nations unite, but first they must unite themselves.

The Lion's Lamb:

Inspired by the question "What if, during the castle raid, Edmund's torch did not come back on after taking out the guard and he could not signal the Narnian troupes to come to their aid? How would the battle have changed?" This single "what if" scenario, has now morphed into a three book series, of which Book 3 is the first to be posted.

*I'm so sorry for the delay on The Lion's Lamb. I don't know what's happened. All the ideas I had originally are still there, floating around in my head, but I have no desire or motivation to sit down and write them out. I hope to one day return to that world and continue it. Until then, Book 3 will have to stand alone.*

The Naiad Trilogy: The Naiad and Her King Complete.

Part 2

Ava's journey for self-discovery continues aboard the Dawn Treader. She has spent the past three years toning her magic and connecting with the Narnians on a whole new level. As the Naiad Princess her magic draws her to the Narnians, but when she finds herself falling in love with her King, whose feelings appear to be mutual, what will she choose? Ava is confronted with her toughest decision yet: to follow her heart, marry Caspian, and abandon her magic, or to forever remain the Naiad Princess.

Most of the story takes place during The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Mostly Movie based, with a few things of the book thrown in as well. Caspian/OC A.U.

A collection of one-shots based on the Naiad Trilogy and I Will Wait... staring our favorite characters. Written in no particular order. Outtakes, "deleted scenes" if you will, and little extras that could have been and almost were. Each chapter is a different outtake. I am open to suggestions and requests for scenes that you would like to see, but I can't say when or if I'll actually write them; though I will certainly try. A.U.

Calliope struggles to trust others after the only life she knew was one of abuse. Rilian struggles to find his voice and place as King after his ten year enchantment. Can these two people, who lived different lives from different worlds, help each other find a place they can call home?
