Um. So. Hi?

My name is Victoria, and I'm not at all serious. (Or Regulus, just in case you were wondering... *lolface*)

Age: I'm not telling you! That's how internet stalkers happen! Let's just say I'm a teenager... and I can practically see the cogs in your head, working to build a stereotype of me because of my age. Please know right now, you do not know me unless you have talked to me. A lot. :)

Birthday: January 12th, Infinity. Yeah. That's right. I'm ageless, fool. xD

Location: Mmm... at my computer? (Somewhere in teh Midwestern US... exciting.)

Appearance: Very short (5 feet exactly -.-), straight brown hair that goes just past the shoulders with side-swept bangs, light blue eyes, thin face, and very often a sarcastic half-smile on my lips. :) I have no opinion on how I look; I try not to be self-deprecating (cos nothing annoys me more than people who constantly insist they're ugly), and I also try not to be vain. (you know, people who think they're the shit. I lied, that annoys me more.)

I only tell you my appearance because I think it's rather difficult to imagine people on the Intarwebs as real people and not, you know, robots or something. So yes. :)

Personality: Positive side - Hyper and energetic, creative, artistic, loyal to friends, friendly, tries to be selfless, romantic (in some ways), optimistic, smart, open-minded, tries to find the best in people. Negative side - sometimes cynical, bitchy, sarcastic, annoyed by people who aren't (I believe) as smart as me, sort of a grammar/spelling queen, not quick to apologize or admit when I've done something wrong, sometimes manipulative. Maaaybe not the most mature of people, but whatever. :D

Oh, also, I try to refrain from too much chatspeak, and will occasionally use British phrases because hello, 80 percent British. :P

Favorites

Movies: Star Wars, POTC (heehee), Sweeney Todd, all the HP movies, ummm... pretty much anything? I'm not picky. Just no horror movies of the Saw kind, or anything too graphic (Sweeney Todd is about the only exception I will make, because it has Johnny Depp in it, and it's a freaking epic musical).

TV: Doctor Who (mostly only with DT), George Lopez, SNL, Family Guy, The Simpsons, Spongebob Squarepants (I am a kid at heart :P), ATLA OMG!!, et al.

Books: Harry Potter (I am first and foremost an HP fan, no matter if people say Twilight is better), Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles (WAAAY better than Twilight), Twilight (you know, kind of a love-hate relationship), Artemis Fowl, other chick lit and fantasy stuff mostly, and some romance stuff too (maybe). I write mostly romance + fantasy, am no good at action sequences.

Music: It varies, from Breaking Benjamin and Nickelback, to Lady Gaga and the Pussycat Dolls, to Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban. I like most modern music that isn't too rap or too country, and like certain techno music as well, but that's sorta for when I'm trying to "relax" and get everyone to shut up so I can write and whatnot. :P

Story Update (for Her Eyes):

So during the course of writing this story and trying not to fall into the oh-so-wide trap of creating a Self-Insert or Mary Sue, I began to contemplate the fact that not all my readers would believe my intentions behind creating and posting this little tale.

In case you don’t know, I’m not 1/20th the Twilight fan I used to be, borne from the ridiculous last book, the blatant anti-feminism, absolutely horrific main character (Bella Freakin’ Swan; do I need to list the reasons why she is so awful?), and little mention/poor development of the few redeemable characters in the book with nice backstories and more believable personalities (like Jasper and perhaps Victoria, if she wasn't dead -.-). Unfortunately, I came to these realizations only after buying the box set of the books and reading through all of them. Some argue I had to have done that in order to criticize the series credibly. Anyway, as usual, the plot bunnies came alive in my head at just the wrong time. Why not write a story about an original character taking Bella’s place in Twilight, simply because (whether Edward is a one-dimensional Gary Stu or not) she is a despicable character and deserves no happiness?

I’m not sure that everyone will accept that reason, and frankly I don’t care. I’m writing this story for me, simply because I want to bring justice to the literary world, and I’m sure some people think the same way about the dear protagonist of this wannabe vampire series.

Some will accuse me of just thinking Edward is superhotlykeOMG!!1 and wanting to get with him. This is why I’m trying *not* to make my original character a self-insert, to deter the critics who, most likely, *are* Edward fangirls. .

Read the story – review if you like. Just give it a fair chance and don’t assume (though I’d like to think from the way I don’t talk lyk dis OMG Edward rullzz) I’m just writing a wish-fulfillment story about making sexy tiem with a fictional character. Really.

Oh! And one thing: some of you may complain that Edward is slightly OOC. Well, the thing is, people have no idea what he's like before Twilight (i.e., 2005 or something) so I figured the years of bitterness at being alone and contemplating his soulless self haven't quite kicked in yet in 1943 or whenever the heck I decided to set this. So... shut it. xD

But since I'm not done with it yet, that's all for now.
