I am an avid horseback rider and have tried every type of riding imaginable except hunter. no joke! I started western because my dad knew it was the cheapest and i loved being on the horse but soon got bored (i was loping in my first lesson and there are no western clinics or competitions around here) and wanted to ride english. rode dressage at a top notch stable for over a year but they, not being used to beginners, kept me trotting for a year and so i switched stables again. that summer i went to a riding camp where i did x-country and rode outdoors (as in on hacks) most of the time :). came back and decided i wanted to jump whether it was x-xountry or not so i moved to ANOTHER barn - jumping this time - and am determined to stick with it. now i am still at the jumping barn but im also helping a family friend with his horse because his wife is pregnant (omg!) and he let me ride the horse becuase i offered!!!! so now im doing both and am damn happy about it :).
