:sigh: Okay, so... :sigh: I updated my profile, since it's been forever since I last did it, and then I noticed that in the "about me" part of the update, instead of actually, you know... updating? Just deleted a ton of stuff. Suffice it to say that I'm Katie, and I enjoy chocolate.

About my Self-inundation into Fanfiction.net

I began writing when my sister graduated from high school and moved away to college. I wrote her a poem or two to send to her in care packages and the like. Someday when I'm awfully low and the world is cold, I may post one on here just for kicks if inspiration strikes, which it seldom does. Anyway, after hearing from several people that, "the only way to improve your writing is to write," I began jotting down a few ideas for stories that I had, in the hopes of improving my SAT scores. After encouragement from some friends, I decided to get an account on here and metaphorically bare my neck to the sharks (or the vampires, as it were). Long story short (or long story long, actually, if you've read through this whole thing), my scores did, indeed, improve, and with the support of my beloved reviewers (this is starting to sound like a PBS fundraiser, isn't it?), I continued writing. Now that I'm in college, of course, everything takes longer. Laundry, showering, and, sad as it is, writing all take a lot longer than they used to. It actually took me over a year to get Chapter 17 of Language of the Blood up, what with getting ready and actually leaving for school, and all that jazz. Anyhoo, again, I'd just like to let everyone know that I have no immediate plans to give up on my writing (in fact, I have ideas for two new stories, which actually center around - gasp! - Edward!), but it's definitely going to take me longer to get chapters up now.

On a different note, is anyone else ecstatic that Wall-E got SIX Oscar nominations?? :-)
