Sequel to Strange Bedfellows. Chell finds that getting a small town to accept her technophiliac obsession with GLaDOS is much harder than it looks when the android comes to collect an Aperture Science souvenir that has been stolen from her.

When Black Mesa infiltrates Aperture and tears GLaDOS apart, Chell is forced to work and live with the volatile AI who has placed herself in an android body. They embark on a tentative relationship under the watchful eye of Doug Rattmann.

GLaDOS finds Cave Johnson stored in the cryogenic freezing wing. She revives him, and they hit it off. Cave/GLaDOS, mention of Cave/Caroline in later chapters.
