![]() Author has written 2 stories for Mercy Thompson series, and Naruto. I love reading Naruto fanfictions I have learned, as the world is so damn varied. I am a staunch NaruHina fan, but I also am pretty open minded when it come to pairings. I will happily beta read any of these stories, and I would be more than happy to receive suggestions for stories I should read! My reasoning for not wanting to read Naru/Saku stem mainly from my dislike of the way she treats him. And even if that is changed in the fic, it bothers me to see the pairing occurring. That being said, I also dislike bashing, if it doesn't actually lead to character development. A bash now and then is fine; if the person being bashed actually wises up and changes. My other peeves include harems and god-mode characters. The first is simply because most people can't write it. I know I can't, and the only truly successful fic I've read (that wasn't meant to be a complete crack fic) with a harem in it is KyuubiGoku's stuff. My main problem with god-mode characters is that the lack of challenge they have to deal with. If you make a person OP, but subsequently also make the villains OP at the same time then its ok. A good example of this is Karldin's Birth of a Forest. (Bearing in mind that the first couple chapters are a bit rushed, and he gets better over time.) My main source of fanfics is Naruto, which is both a good and a bad thing. Its good because there are a LOT of fics. Its bad because it becomes harder and harder to find original ideas and content. This is not to say that everyone is ripping each other off, but rather to say that there are only so many ideas that are easy to pick up from nowhere without some serious thought. It is because of this, that although I love Naru/Hina, I encourage people to do other pairings. Especially ones that are not the norm. A mainstream pairing is great for someone who wants to play it safe, and get their mind wrapped around writing romance. But once you have that experience, try branching out a bit, you might find that the other pairings suit your writing style, or even mindset better. I absolutely ADORE LoZ Twilight Princess fanfics, and will happily read any that are long enough. I'm afraid that I am a very picky reader when it comes to stories, as they have to be long enough to entertain me for a while =P. I read pretty fast and can finish a 100k word fanfic in about 4-5 hours depending on the writing style and the topic. Unfortunately this means that a story has to be pretty dang long for me to keep myself entertained. Still, if anyone has a suggestion for a story, I'm all for it; theres almost never anything better for me to be doing in my day anyways IMPORTANT I have bad news for anyone who was waiting for me to come out with a revised version of my first naruto story. I do not believe it will happen. I apologize for this, as I know the frustration that occurs when a story is left unfinished. I, unfortunately, cannot make myself stick to a regular writing schedule, both because of college and because of my own personality. I will not be putting the story up for adoption, mainly because I have no idea where I was going to take it. The other factor for this is because it was only a couple chapters long. And the first chapter was abysmal in terms of quality. As such, I can't really see any reason for it to be continued. I can also say that I will most likely not be able to write stories in general from here on out. I simply do not have the drive, nor the patience to do so. coming up with challenges, on the other hand, I will do with great enjoyment, as I get ideas frequently and just never really act on them. I hope this doesn't bother anyone too much.
