![]() I never fill out the profile/bio section of any site I'm registered on because I never really know what to put in them ... I'm just lazy like that so you'll never see a story from me, couldn't be a writer even if I tried... not even a mini drabble lol, anyhoot on with the basics... I'm a 34 year old female from Mexico blah blah blah... and I'm unbelievably HOOKED with the Harry Potter world. The thing is, I first saw the movies, 'cause you couldn't make me read anything even if my life depended on it, but after GOF I couldn't stand it anymore and got to read all I could get to calm my anxiety while waiting to know the end of that wonderful story. The problem was, the character I really LOVE is only the 'sidekick', yes that's right, Ronald Billius Weasley is my number one man (fictional of course :P) and as you well know, in the books there's not nearly enough about him to satisfy my... need to know and see more of him... that's when I turned to fanfiction and I was doomed... literally. Now after book 7, and being pleasantly content with the ending, even though I felt that wasn't nearly enough of what I needed to know, fanfic's are all that's really left to my little addictive problem... and that's why I felt inclined to create this little persona that brought me here. I follow stories that are well constructed, that go somewhere, that can transport us to the world they're narrating, and make us FEEL what the characters are going through... obviously I prefer the ones where my Ron turns out the victor of the tale, but even when that doesn't happen, when it is really well justified, goes with the flow of the portrayed passages, I'd enjoy them as much, if not more... also I love the ones where he makes his 'Mione suffer lol (when she's been in the bad of course), because she sometimes really needs to learn a lesson or two hahaha. I also can stand all pairings, when there's a good story to read, but not the ones where it's plain clear that the author degrades a character just because they don't like them or have a grudge on them, those kind of things get inmersed into the story you know, and to me, it just takes the punch out of it, or makes the plot predictable enough to not bother reading any more of it... a lot of people enjoy them like that though, so that's life. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not any kind of critic, nor I pretend to be so, I simply tell you what I feel, think and like... you don't have to be the best writers for me to read your stories, if they're interesting enough for me to follow them that's one more wonderful story for my good-fic list... I know it's a lot of effort to even try and think of a story to write, more so when you haven't written anything in your life before, and knowing that you do it out of love for this fandom and all that it represents, and to have the balls to even try to make one ... well that's a very admirable deed. OK the point for all this babbling is that I'll dedicate this space to enlist all the stories that I've read so far and liked the most that I hope more people have enjoyed as much as I have, and maybe read again to remember them, but also to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you wonderful people, writers or not, that created them and with that brought a whole new universe to explore where you have made me laugh, cry, extremely angry or even depressed at times, and mostly you helped me fulfill my Ron-less anxiety for which I will be eternally grateful lol Also, and before I forget, to those of you who like to write, and want to have some fun creating new stories, like to be challenged, or want to enhance your visual storytelling skills, join visuallenged a community on LJ for Creative Writers that I created the other day out of plain boredom and with nothing better to do, and begin to build plots around the images that the visuallenges (vsg's for short) mark you. It can get to be very interesting and have lots of fun guessing what other people can make out of them, it's allways good to challenge our imagination... it keeps it live and going lol Well then, enough is enough... I've written too much as it is. Have a wonderful life... Never stop dreaming... Just follow your bliss |
