I'm the kind of writer who can read a past story with eyes as fresh as someone who had never read it before, let alone written it. I'm not the best (and will never claim to be), but I enjoy writing when I can get around to it. I like to challenge myself randomly, like Shard Card, which was me trying to write 10,000 word chapters once a week if not once a day, for one particular summer (suffice to say, it is still my longest story here). I have a tendency towards happy endings and the overachieving OC and couple-everyone-up-by-the-end-of-it syndrome... and I'm working at it, but old habits die hard. Especially since most purely canon work that stays true to the original seems to have been done, with mixed results (if it stayed in character, I doubt you would ever see Nanoha and Fate get together, regardless of what happens "off camera".)
