A little something about me:

I am in my early thirties. I have been writing off and on ever since I was seven years old. I started writing steadily when I was thirteen. I mostly write original fiction, but I occasionally delve into fanfiction, if the idea is compelling enough.

In case anyone was wondering, my pen name: QteCuttlfish, comes from a nickname one of my friends gave me. My first semester of senior year of high school, we were taking Zoology together. At one point, we watched a video on cuttlefish, and their mating habits. When they're trying to attract a mate, one side of them will flash red to the other side. I have really sensitive skin on my neck, which turns red very easily. I had also just started dating a guy in our group. It didn't last long, but we were still together by the time we watched this video. The friend I was taking it with started calling me a "cute little cuttlefish." Eventually, when I was looking for a pen name for this website, I decided that might be fun and creative. So there you go.

As to my stories, almost everything I write ends up being much bigger than I originally thought it was going to be. Fires of Purgatory was originally going to be four parts, and it's 10 chapters. We are the Broken was supposed to be all one fic, but after I outlined it out, it was 48 chapters, with two different themes going on. The first theme was on remembering the past. The second theme is something different. So The Heart of the Matter was born. Also I will almost always add some sort of romance to my stories. What can I say? I'm a hopeless romantic, at least when it comes to fiction. I will also write either happy endings or at least hopeful endings. I do not like tragic endings, so I will not write them. So that let's you know a little bit of what to expect from me as a writer.

Fandoms: Gundam Wing, The 10th Kingdom, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Hercules: the Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, Babylon 5, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, Highlander, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Zootopia, Beetlejuice, and Gone with the Wind.

UPDATE: One Tin Soldier and Sleeping Shinigami are permanently on hold, until I can figure out how to finish them. Unfortunately, it's been a long time since I was really into the Gundam Wing fandom, which has made it hard to write those fics. Another problem is that I lost the notes to each of them. They are in notebooks from college, and those are all unfortunately packed away. When I can stop being so bitter about that, I will re-plan both fics and have every intention of finishing them someday.
