** Season 3 Spoilers** Just as the Byers and El were adjusting to their new life, Joyce receives some life changing news and El is harboring a secret.

(*No Season 3 Spoilers*) After the gates closed, what will happen next? Elevens back, Will seems better and a new member has joined the party. But although the gates been closed, threats are still present in Hawkins, waiting to be faced.

Maybe showing up out of nowhere to Keely Teslow's college graduation after years of absolutely no contact with her isn't Phil Diffy's smartest move.

"She's not Sara." Hopper said, sniffing. He brushed at his eyes, and forced himself to meet Joyce's worried, tired eyes. "She's not Sara, but . . ." He paused, searching for words. There were so many things he ought to say, but he'd never been one for grand soliloquies. "Sometimes I feel like the universe is giving me a second chance, you know?"

I'm just killing time until Season 3 imagining how that year will go because I love these characters and it makes me sad to be without them. Amending this summary one last time now that this story knows what it wants to be when it grows up. Post Season 2, lots of fluff, a bit of plot, primarily a Hopper & Eleven, Mile/Eleven story, but damn near everyone's in it.

Complete! "If you got a second chance, no matter how crazy the circumstances, would you take it?" "Yes" At 16, Mike and El were torn from each other due to a resurgence of Brenner's project. Seven years later, Mike finally moved on. But a chance encounter on a New York City train throws them together again at the best and worst possible time, completely changing their trajectories.

Next fall, the kids are starting high school and El is struggling to adjust to new rules, bullies, English class and a rocky relationship with Mike. Being normal isn't easy. Meanwhile, the Mind Flayer is developing a new plan of attack. He isn't through with Will, and halfway across the country there's a boy trapped in a lab, desperate to meet his sister by any means necessary.

After Eleven closed the gate at Hawkins Laboratory, all seemed to be good as the children enjoy their time at the Snow Ball. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end. As it turns out, the Upside Down affected El and Will more than anyone realized. With that and the threat of Brenner still looming, things can't get any worse. Oh wait, of course they can. The gate has been closed, Will has been cured, and the girl who has been haunting Mike's dreams for a year is back. Everything is back to normal. Everything is perfect. There's just one burr: Mike and Eleven are madly in love and it's obvious to everyone except each other. Takes place before the 1 month later epilogue in Season 2.

My take on a third season, because I'm bored and apparently have too much time on my hands? Strap in tight because there's gonna be some plot, some fluff, and most of all, some good ol' DND. Standard pairings (and eventual Jopper, probably) but lots of good plottiness too.
