Poll: So I'm trying to decide if I should write a sequel to "Bonds of Faith". I'm just wondering if you guys would be interested in a second one. If you haven't read the first one, then I'd suggest you do so before voting. What do you think? Should there be a sequel to "Bonds of Faith"? Vote Now! |
![]() Author has written 17 stories for Sonic the Hedgehog, Metroid, Legend of Zelda, Mario, and Don't Starve. I love to write . . . hence the reason I'm here. I also love video games, but no FPS or war games like COD or Halo or anything like that. I'm much more old school than that. Yay, old school gaming! My main topics will be: Sonic the Hedgehog (video game)--(more than likely to be the dominant topic here) Legend of Zelda (video game) Metroid series (video game) Pokémon (video game/anime) Super Paper Mario (video game) Don't Starve (video game) So basically these games. (Some other topics might include other misc. fandoms that I've been a part of) This link goes to my own totally professional-looking blog, "Spilling the Ink" where I will post short stories! If you're in the mood for a quick read, check it out! I am also a member of the website FictionPress. If you want to check out my profile, click here. And DeviantArt. I have a bunch of miscellaneous things up there, if you feel like checkin' 'em out. :) I generally write K, K plus, or T material, usually with a darker side to it. Nothing over T. Please review my stuff and tell me what you think of it. Point out any spelling or grammar mistakes as well--I don't want to make the same ones! I might frequently update my profile for whatever reason, too. :/ Thanks, all! I look forward to writing fan fiction! NOTE: I try to take my time with my stories. I am very prone to the block as well as real life pinning me down, so I apologize if I'm not as active a writer as anyone else. Updates/Info/New Stories: Don't Starve: "Play Your Cards Right" - A dramatization of Maxwell's backstory. Most likely to be rated either K or T, probably the former. Will contain OCs! IN-PROGRESS NOW! Updates every Tuesday! STH: A headcanon, put in story form. Simply put, my version of Rouge's back-story and how she turned out to be the awesomeness that she is today. Title pending. Rating will most likely be T. Also, if you have any requests and/or ideas for one-shots in "One Tranquil Colloquy", then please PM me! I'd love to hear from you! :) I make no promises that I will be on every single day. I will, however, do my very best to keep updating and posting stories as often as I possibly can. Thank you for understanding, and for your continued support! I'm here to help as well as write. So here's some awesome links for anyone who might be looking for some super-epic mood music to write along to. Two Steps From Hell YouTube Channel - click here! Zack Hemsey's channel - click here! A few of my favorite things . . . STH: Sonic was the first video game that I got really acquainted with. I knew, at a young age, the characters and what personalities they had. Sonic Battle was my favorite game at the time, along with Sonic Heroes. I know I've said before that it's not my favorite, but that was a lie. LOZ: (What I claim to be)My favorite video game franchise. Best thing about it? The music. And Link. And Ganondorf. Heck, it's just so epic in so many ways! Metroid: Second favorite, really. I love the music there, too, but I'm a big sci-fi person as well. The general stories and characters are good. Plus I love Ridley . . . Super Mario Bros.: . . . Well, who doesn't love 'em? Don't Starve: My most recent obsession. If you don't believe in love at first sight, my relationship with this roguelike survival game is living proof of that. It's dark, moody, quirky, and incredibly well-done and unfortunately underrated. If you haven't already read some of my stories, I enjoy writing OC's. If you're not a huge fan of those, then you probably don't want to stay on my profile for much longer. You may be wondering: Smileaway, you like video games and you like writing. I get it. But do you have any other interests; anything else that you can list on your profile for no reason whatsoever? My answer is yes, dear friend, I do, and thank you for asking! I sometimes spend my free time dabbling in video-making and even a bit of musical composition, so that's fun. One other secret passion/guilty pleasure that I have is watching/researching the films and actors of the 1930/40's. Ever since I was a bit younger, my mom and I would watch those old movies together and I became hooked. Hollywood was booming in that time period, and I really find something extremely charming about the black-and-white, the well-dressed gentlemen and ladies, the jazz music, and especially the early gangster films. It's a shame that the majority of these actors have long since passed on. Favorite actor of the time? Well, there's a few, but I'd say it's a tie between Fred Astaire, Edward G. Robinson, and Bela Lugosi. (FYI, about the latter of the three, you should go Google him. See him? That, my friends, is the only Bela that should appear in vampire movies.) Oh yeah, I'm also really into rollerblading. It's the only kind of exercise that I can do for hours on end and never get tired of it. For those who were nice enough to continue reading, I offer my congratulations. I salute you for sitting so patiently through my obligatory "other interests" list. Top Ten STH character list! Yay! 10: Blaze. Well, she likes being alone. I suppose I can relate to that. Plus, pyrokinesis! How cool is that?? 9: Maria Robotnik. No, not the hedgehog . . . the human. She was such a sweetheart and got along the best with Shadow. 8: Vector. His big mouth makes me laugh whenever it opens. 7: Espio. His mysterious nature, independence, and ninja skills are probably what I like about him. Not to mention he's a chameleon! "It is better to be full of oneself than to be an obnoxious pipsqueak." 6: Omega. He's a massive machine with a taste for revenge. Now, who wouldn't like a guy like that?? 5: Silver. He's a sweet, peace-loving, and innocent hedgehog from the future. And his determination is just plain adorable. 4: Sonic. His quick wits and hyperactive speed are unforgettable. I mean, why else would the whole world love the guy? 3: Knuckles. Ahh, my first character crush! I love a guy with a hot temper, especially when their outbursts are funny. Also, dat strength! 2: Rouge. Ever since I first learned about the bat with an attitude, I loved her. Her charm and cleverness clearly get her pretty far. 1: Shadow. Anti-hero. Plenty of internal conflict and character development. Overall dark and mysterious personality. Clearly Shadow is number one, at least on my list. Don't believe me? Just check out my stories. "Can you see all of me walk into my history? Step inside and hold on for dear life . . ." I didn't know a lot about video games as a kid. I just knew that holding a controller and pushing buttons while watching a character on the screen walk, jump, and sometimes attack, was fun. When I got older, I dove deeper into the gaming ocean and explored everything I could about the games I love. It's still a work in progress, but I'm progressing slowly. Still loving pushing buttons on those controllers, though. Some quotes just because: "You can't wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club." -Jack London "You can be pleasant or you can be smart. I've been smart for 35 years . . . I recommend being pleasant." -Elwood P. Dowd, "Harvey" "Listen to them . . . children of the night. What music they make." -Bram Stoker, "Dracula" Some lyrics to one of my favorite songs just because: "Can you see it in the night, can you feel that it's out there? It's the arcing of a life, and it's hanging in the air. Though I try to close my eyes and pretend that I don't know in my heart, I just can't let it go."
