![]() Author has written 1 story for Candy Candy. Earnestly, I suck at writing fanfiction. It hurts my little pride to admit it, but I really lack imagination and sense of language to write decent stories. I'm a grateful reader. If I find a story really good, I make every effort to let the talented author know what I think. I believe it's unfair to review fanfition with just "I liked it!", or "Wow, that was amazing", or "Write some more!" Any story is an individual creation and deserves an individual approach. I honestly try to do justice to the authors of my favourite ficlets. I'm sorry If I fail to convey what I really feel about a story sometimes. But be assured, if I write a review, I find the story at least above average. Being rather realistic and somewhat conservative, I do not favour OOCness, AU stories, and, God forbid, Mary Sues. Original characters have to be recognizable, their bevahior and interaction credible, otherwise it I would rarely bother reading such a story. Unless it is an ueber-hilarious crack fic or I'm being hungry for certain thematic fanfiction, especially when I want more romantic development between my favourite pairings than the original offers. But I easily get sick of soapy overfluffed romance. Alongside with credibility, another mostly welcomed thing - and rarely found - is good humour. To all people with good sense of humour, you can't imagine how much I admire you! I don't think angst is bad. It can add contrast and be necessary for a successful silver lining. A good story always plays upon the reader's emotions, and angst is probably the first instrument to do so. But I avoid multiple chapter fics containing death of main characters, unless it happened or was implied in the original. Fics with mature content are fine for me, when it's clear from the nature of the relationship that such interactions are possible. Actually, the deeper the story goes into a relationship, the more expected and desirable such things are. Yet sex-centered fics - mostly being one-shots - are a matter of mood. Who doesn't feel horny sometimes? OCs are fine with me, if they are well elaborated, well integrated in the flow of events and don't take up the whole stage. I don't like Yaoi or Yuri as a genre, I hardly read any stories containing Yaoi or Yuri pairings if they are not implied in the original. Since manga goes before anime in my preference list I tend to read manga-based stories. But if a story is good and credible it doesn't matter where its roots go. ~ My profile ~ Occupation: balancing between last days of a careless university student and a working grown-up life Music: Yuki Kajiura, Joe Hisaishi, Yann Tiersen, Cowboy Bebop OST, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Norah Jones, Katie Melua, James Blunt, Josh Groban, Rosenstolz, Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Rakhmaninov, J.
