![]() Author has written 2 stories for Ninja Turtles. "The process of rewriting is enjoyable, because you're not in that existential panic when you don't have a novel at all." ~ Rose Tremain 01 Mai 2010 Line My 'verse I have to admit that over the years of reading TMNT I can say that I'm only writing for one universe - my own. A lot of people do not like that despite the fact that ANY story any fan author makes will ultimately be their own story... Anyway, I thought I might as well write down some information about it so if you wondered what that meant - now you'll know. My starting-point for this universe is what happens within the first half of the CGI-TMNT movie. The tension within our beloved family is what fascinated me the most about it and as a result the rest of the plot is completely irrelevant. Otherwise I take in some events from the first and second movie as well as some issues/elements from the comics (Mirage as well as a short lived comic by Peter David based of the New Toon Cartoon). I don't actually take in actual events/issues, I just take in the ideas/mood from those universes so if you've read neither you shouldn't worry about it (but I do recommend the comic by Peter David). To sum it up I'm shamelessly taking aspects of that I like into my writing and tossing those I don't like out the window without a care if they have a soft fall or not. As a result my universe is somewhat familiar, but might strike some as a little strange in the details. Michelangelo is more mature than he is depicted in the movies, and Leonardo might seem more relaxed than he is depicted... in fanon. I still think the majority of you will recognise their personality to be somewhat close to canon, with some deviations due to them being written by moi, obviously. =D My universe is also somewhat more down-to-earth at the moment, at least in the sense that it takes Ultroms, Triceratons, Winters fuckup and so on out of the picture (for now). It's not "supernatural" unfriendly, I'm just not overly fond of the Ultroms and I'd rather introduce other aspects of the Mirage 'verse on my own terms. It's also more complex in regards to the Foot, though that is just background snippets mentioned in stories and isn't overall important to the plot. Unless it irks you, then I can't offer much help.
