My favorite fan fiction is Pride and Prejudice - but I mostly read at other sites. Here at FFnet, I read lots of Harry Potter, Naruto, and Sailor Moon.

My Community: The Best of Hermione Granger

Hermione Granger fans like watching her kick butt! She's my favorite character and doesn't get enough credit in the HP series as anything beyond HP's sidekick and bookworm. I won't even mention the way her character was portrayed in HBP or DH. Here, we get to see Hermione in action. Sometimes she's saving the magical world (I never call it the wizarding world - seems a little too anti-feminist to me. How about witching world??). Also, Hermione won't be some weak ninny in these stories. Strength of mind and character is what's made her so popular, so I won't be adding fics where a submissive Hermione is a content sex slave who falls in love with her master. (Seriously, who comes up with this??)

I include stories where Hermione greatly impacts the magical world and ones where we see a lot of innovation or politcal action in her part. Sometimes, she just comes up with some brilliant discovery or new research. There will also be some Powerful, Dark, and Manipulative Hermione stories. So basically, as the title suggests, I'll be including any fics where we see the absolute Best of Hermione Granger. But grammer, plot, and character development are very important, so it won't be a very large archive.

My Son is a Werewolf

This plot has actually been bothering me for a while. Usually I write a scene or two for any plot bunny that captures my attention. I never post as I'm not disciplined enough to continue it once my initial enthusiasm has worn off, but this one kept gathering more scenes and chapters. I decided to give it a try, but the story is still in progress with bits and pieces all over the place. I'll try to complete it - but no promises.

While the Twilight books are certainly interesting, Bella's character is hard for me to relate to. She gets on my nerves. I just cannot relate to an angsty teenager who falls into a horrible depression when her boyfriend leaves - nor can I sympathize. Hermione is one of my favorite female protagonists and has the advantage of being from a "supernatural world" so the crossover seemed to fit well enough.
