Things I Like

Old WWII/Cold War era movies. I love The Great Escape and Ice Station Zebra! Wonderful adventures.

Old science-fiction movies: I wanted to give moody ol' Captain Nemo a great big hug during 20,000 LEagues Under The Sea. Superb acting. And don't get me started on 2001: A Space Odyssey. I absolutely loved both the movie and the novel. Hello, Dr. Chandra. I am ready for my first lesson today...

Jaws and Jurassic Park: Yes, the shark was as fake as could be, and yes, the characterization in Jurassic Park could use some work. But Quint, Hooper, and Brody were fabulously acted, and the velociraptors in Jurassic Park... wonderful CGI and sound effects.

Techno music: I just like the beat.

Drawing: I. Love. Art. 'Nuff said.

Apple: MUCH better then Windows. Beautiful layouts, too. And the employees at the Apple Store are actually helpful.Acting strange: I don't like going to church at all, but m parents make me go. So I introduced myself to people as "PhoenixStarr, the Antichrist." (When I told my mom, she didn't realize it was a joke and thought that I was deluded and suffering from a mental illness that made me genuinely believe that I WAS "The Antichrist". She needs a sense of humour.)

Things I Do Not Like

Harry Potter: It's well written, just not my style.

Eragon: A ripoff of the Star Wars plot by way of Lord Of The Rings. I don't care how old the author is. Age is no excuse for plagarism.

People who drool over fashionable books but insist that the classics are "boring". Okay, Moby Dick was a bit dull, but what about 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea? Pure adventury goodness!
