![]() Author has written 3 stories for Naruto. Name: There are a lot of them, pick one and stick with it. You can, however, refer to me as Kilter, if you are so inclined. All anyone needs to know about me, is that i made this account for the sole purpose of reading fanfiction stories. Due to that fact, i am quite new to the other workings of this website. If anyone likes whatever i may write on here, then by all means, feel free to visit my accounts on Wattpad and Quotev if you want, they have the exact same name as this one (And absolutely nothing of value posted on them either). I haven't been writing long and i have only just recently started in the fanfiction world. Now that you know that, i want to personally welcome any and all criticism about my writing. I'm open to idea's and suggestions and am thankful to anyone who points out my mistakes since i make a lot that i seem incapable of noticing. To any weirdo's that might be curious about personal information, well i think i might help narrow down the guessing field. I'm not yet old enough to purchase alcohol in my own country, my eyes are not blue, i am not female, i am not tall nor am i short, and most importantly I HATE STICKY TAPE!!. i hope this helped. My first language was not English, it was that same thing that all toddlers try to pass off for speech, something i have long since forgotten. Due to this, learning English has been a long and difficult journey over the course of many years. Now that you know this, keep in mind that grammar mistakes will be made, most will be corrected but some will slip through. Current amount of pages I've read of the English Dictionary: 174 Rules to follow in life: - Do not eat onions. Anime i have watched or am watching: Sword Art Online: Having been a full time gamer at one stage of my life i can honestly say that this anime was a dream come true. If they ever make technology that allows the type of gaming depicted in this anime and they don't make this a game for it, then they are wasting money. Naruto: Great anime but i stopped watching somewhere between the Pain invasion and the five kage summit. It wasn't that i didn't like it anymore it was simply me being unable to sit through Sakura breaking down into tears everytime she heard Sasuke's name, that and the fact that Naruto got really annoying while using only two or three jutsu's for the majority of the show. Bleach: This is one anime that i regret not dedicating the time to watch more of. The whole concept is awesome and I'm sure that if i watched more of it i would be hooked for quite a long time. Blue Exorcist: This is one of my all time favorite anime's simply because it appealed to me in almost every way an anime could. I eagerly await more episodes and highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't watched it. Soul Eater: This is a good anime to watch for simple enjoyment and a laugh. Although quite childish at moments i do enjoy watching every now and then, which is why I'm not very far into it. One Piece: I love this anime but I'm still not very far into it, only episode 238 or something. I enjoy the character interactions and how the story stays strong no matter where they end up, it also helps when Luffy goes crazy and practically destroys whoever's in his way. Hellsing Ultimate: Although short it was very enjoyable. It had just enough vampires and Nazi's to make a sea of blood seem like a dream come true. Attack on Titan: I only just recently watched the first season of this show but i can honestly say that i regret not paying attention to it earlier. An awesome show all round but could have done with a tad more gore. Kill la Kill: This is easily one of the more ridiculous anime I've seen and also an easily enjoyable one. I admittedly haven't seen many episodes of this show but from what I have seen I can happily say that this anime combines a perfect amount of scanty super uniforms, childish kickassery, and all round immaturity to be fun and slightly (as in near non-existent) serious when needed. Tokyo Ghoul: Great anime with great characters. Kaneki and Touka did manage to annoy me at times, and I directly blame Hinami's disobedient behavior for her mothers death (Oh no! Spoilers!), but other than that, I liked all of the characters. Yamori was a personal highlight, with the final couple of episodes from season one providing many chuckles (Centipede). Binge watched all the available dubbed episodes in a day and look forward to the series continuation. Parasyte: This one is... weird. The whole concept, the story, the extremely sudden personality shifts of the main character, everything just works against me truly liking it as an anime. The violence is awesome, but many of the other aspects just tend to piss me off. The raw amount of human stupidity present in this show makes me want to kill someone. That being said, I have seen many things worse than this, so it's not too far down the list of things. One Punch Man: Worth every second. An anime that doesn't take itself too seriously but still dedicates an appropriate amount of epicness to every minute of run-time. Love the characters, especially Tatsumaki, and would be actively willing to rewatch all of the episodes (Something I very rarely do with anything episodic). Highly recommended. The Devil's a Part-Timer: Honestly enjoyed this one. A good light-hearted anime that I was able to stick with. A little unfortunate that it hasn't progressed much in terms of episode numbers, but hey, good things are in small doses. My personal thoughts on specific things about Naruto, fanfiction or otherwise, since its the only thing i will be writing fanfics for: The Doujutsu: The Sharingan, Rinnegan, and Byakugan, are all so completely ridiculous that its not even funny. The Byakugan is acceptable since it has weaknesses to counter its somewhat believable abilities, but the fact that it is so ludicrously outmatched by the Sharingan and Rinnegan simply makes it nearly worthless. The Rinnegan, although overpowered in a sense, truly does make sense due to being the eyes of the sage of six paths; the stupid thing about it, is that it can be obtained by someone with the Sharingan under specific circumstances, which is the most infuriating thing i could possibly think of. And then there is the Sharingan itself, quite possibly the most annoying and pathetically overpowered thing ever. Its ability to copy things, predict movement, even aid in genjutsu, was all acceptable, but that is where it stopped. Everything about the Mangekyou Sharingan, including its ability to control the Kyuubi, is just stupid. The abilities that these eyes grant were only made so as to give otherwise useless assholes the ability to become major pain in the ass villains for Naruto, i'm looking at you Sasuke. As if this wasn't already bad enough, they suddenly allow people to have both the Sharingan and Rinnegan at the same fucking time. Needless to say, the Sharingan, along with all the pathetic people who possessed it, were the main reason i stopped watching the show. The Bijuu: The Bijuu are probably my favorite thing in the Naruto universe since i just generally hate people, much like they used to. My only real problem with them is the fact that they were so under-powered that it was annoying; i understand that sealing techniques are powerful and all, but when the third Hokage couldn't even seal a partially worn out Orochimaru while using the most powerful sealing technique ever, well then i call bullshit on anyone being able to seal away anything above the three tails. Speaking of the three tails, Isobu was so utterly thrashed by Deidara that it made me want to question what the point of having the Bijuu was even for; if the Bijuu themselves were so easy to capture, then what the hell did anyone expect would change when the ten tails was resurrected. Sakura and Hinata: I hate these two characters so do not be surprised if i decide to just kill them somehow in my fanfics. Sakura pissed me off for obvious reasons, her uselessness and obsession with Sasuke being the main factors. Yes she may have improved herself over the time skip, even more so than Naruto did since he returned as the exact same idiot, but the fact that Sakura continued to break down into tears at the mere mention of Sasuke made me want to puke. I am quite certain that there are some respectable women in the world who hated this portrayal of a teenage girl just as much as i did, and i ain't even a girl. Hinata is accused of the exact same crime. Although she may not have been quite as useless, Hinata lacked any confidence that would allow her to be useful. I hated the stuttering, the fainting, the inability to do anything without mentioning how strong Naruto was; the entire thing made me sick. I don't know, nor do i care, but whatever was going through Kishimoto's head when he had Naruto and Hinata get together, it was not a sane thought. Impure world resurrection jutsu AKA Edo Tensei: I quite liked this jutsu, i thought it brought a new and interesting factor to fights. Yes, it was overly powerful, and yes it did get rather ridiculous at some points, but who gives a shit when dead guys are killing people for you. Overall, i see no problems with this jutsu. Naruto himself: Hated his attitude with every ounce of my being. No one, and i mean no one, can grow up with the level of rejection he did and still remain all goody goody; anyone else in his position, myself included, would snap and start killing people for a simple laugh. Gaara proved this with his own reaction to his villages rejection and i cannot express the amount of respect i have for him for doing so, despite the major buzzkill when Naruto convinced him to change. Naruto is actually retarded. He returned from a nearly three year training trip with one of the strongest ninja alive, with the ability to dispel weak genjutsu, make a bigger Rassengan, and new change of clothes. It is for this reason that i deem his magical ability to create the rasenshuriken, and master sage mode in such short amounts of time, to be complete and utter bullshit. Plus i just generally hate how forgiving he is to people, mainly Sasuke; if my best friend, which Sasuke was not to Naruto, tried to put a lightning covered hand through my chest, i would snap his fucking neck, assuming i lived that long since my best friend is actually much stronger than i am. Kakashi: I dislike Kakashi's lazy attitude to things that should have actually been payed attention to. The man taught Naruto and Sakura nothing, constantly suffered from chakra exhaustion, and always moped at the memorial stone. He had potential to be one of my favorite characters but threw it all away for the Uchiha and his grief. Yaoi and Yuri Fanfics: I have nothing against these but i do actively try and avoid any Yaoi (Hope i spelled that right). I did once, on accident, read a Yaoi fic, which was extremely well written and rather enjoyable to read; mind you i did skip the sexual content, which really surprised me since up until that moment i had no idea it was a Yaoi fic. I have yet to find a well written, and story based Yuri fic, since most of them are pathetic excuses to write a bunch of lesbian sex scenes. If anyone knows of a good Naruto Yuri fic that doesn't just exist for the explicit content please PM me the name. Crossover's: These can make or break a story. Some people have managed to combine different worlds and universes with amazing results, while others have managed to translate the sounds they made while throwing up into written words. I myself will never write a full crossover because i would hate myself for ruining two amazing anime, but i might make references from other anime or perhaps even have specific items from multiple sources appear in one of my fics; only time will tell the answer to that one. Samehada: This sword is one of the most amazing things in Naruto, but its also quite annoying. As one of the unique swords wielded by the seven swordsmen of the mist, one would expect the other six to be just as awesome and powerful, but they would be wrong. Samehada is much more powerful and useful than the other swords of the mist, which is very upsetting. The Kubikiribocho was close as it had the ability to regenerate itself from the blood of those it sliced through, but none of the others really met the expectations set by Samehada. CRA (Clan Restoration Act): This thing had potential, it could have been the key factor to some awesome fanfics, but it was ruined. Instead of making an interesting romance story about a forced love triangle, everyone decided to use this idea and make Naruto get with a harem for nothing but sex. I am not against harem fics, or even lemon focused fics, but there is a limit and guidelines that should be followed when going about something like this. One thing i always find myself hating about harem fics, is the way that all the girls are portrayed as lustful sex crazed whores who just want to be dominated. Its unrealistic and it gets old really fast. Self insert Fics (In Any Anime world whatsoever): This should never, and i mean NEVER, have been allowed. This is the closest thing to a crime that one can commit to the Fanfiction world. Not only is this a terrible idea and usually a pathetic excuse to bolster ones own self image, but the majority of them are poorly written and strung together with a warped perception of romance; they hardly ever contain a definable plot line, and almost always involve the person being dragged into the anime world from our own. If you are so desperate to make yourself a part of an anime universe, do not make up some ridiculous thing like being sucked into the anime, its just insulting your own intelligence. Make yourself into a god damn OC or something, create a back story that is believable, don't make yourself godlike, and DO NOT try to write the thing without some form of actual plot line. If you can manage that then you might just be able to be the exception of an otherwise disgraceful sub-genre of Fanfiction. Resurrections: I understand that the Edo Tensei could fall into this category, but i will explain why its not here. This is not me complaining about resurrection via a jutsu that actually exists within the Naruto world, instead it is me complaining about when people simply bring someone back from the dead in their story without properly thinking it all through first. The Rinnegan seems to be a common way to do this, what with people having Naruto resurrect the Hokage's, his parents, and some other incredibly powerful people to help him in his cause. However, this is cheap because i honestly don't believe that the Rinnegan can simply resurrect anyone no matter how long they have been rotting in the ground for, unless they use some combination of Edo Tensei and the Rinnegan. Another method that I've seen used often, is when Kami, for some reason, has a soft spot for Naruto and brings people back to life for him. This one is usually seen in the not so serious fanfics but i have seen it used in a serious context. Now i'm not really angry by this, Kami can do whatever the hell he/she likes, but gods do not usually interfere with mortal shit, unless its Greek mythology in which case they do it all the fucking time. What I'm trying to say, is that if you are planning on bringing a long since dead character back to life, for who the fuck knows what reason, please give some flawless explanation of how you accomplished such a thing. This isn't necessary if you are using a jutsu to do so, since that should already imply temporary living status. Sasuke: Alright people, here's the one thing in the entire Naruto universe that is a love it or hate it shit storm. You either love Sasuke, or you hate Sasuke, there is no middle ground in this fight. Yes, you can variate from side to side depending on whatever the insane little bastard decides to do at the drop of a hat, but you can not under any fucking circumstances play the middle ground in this. I personally hate Sasuke; why? Well because he's a selfish little shit that gets more second chances than the village bicycle. (If you don't understand the reference there, go and watch every single Austin Powers movie immediately, because, why the fuck not) Anyway, as i was saying. Sasuke has literally everyone trying to turn him back to good instead of just killing him like they should. And just for the record, i know that Sasuke played a vital role in winning the fourth shinobi shit storm that you people casually refer to as a war, but if Naruto had of just killed him earlier on then a lot of that shit wouldn't even have happened. Sasuke was a direct pain in the ass for all of the good guys during the time leading up to the fourth shinobi war, and it was simply because every time someone had the chance to kill him they chickened out and tried to talk him into being good. If Sasuke was dead, no one would have to worry about the apparently un-killable idiot and they would have more time to focus on stopping the Akatsuki, you know, the guys that actually had goal to all their destruction. All this aside, I have found some fanfics that portray Sasuke in a way that i can actually appreciate. The only problem with this is the fact that the only times I've read a story with a good Sasuke, is when he's actually gay. Now i don't have anything against that, but when the only way to make the character likable is to turn him gay, you just have to stop and ask yourself if he's even worth having created in the first place Over Powered Characters: This can be a big problem, in generally every way. People like to come onto this site and write a story about their favorite show, only they decide to make their favorite character a god in all but name. This, can be done well, and i admit that. I have actually read some Naruto stories where he becomes insanely powerful, and they have been enjoyable, but these stories aren't common. I myself like to tamper with the strength of character, in fact i like to make some characters much stronger than they should be; however, this is usually done in good fun, like with my first story Broken Seal, which is nothing but a badly strung together number of chapters with me trying to get a laugh out of people. The crime of this comes when the character has no weakness, when it is simply impossible to defeat them. This is bad people, really fucking bad. Everyone has a weakness, i myself am quite terrified of centipedes, and that shit can be used against me. You cannot have a character that is simply indestructible, unless for some ungodly reason you decided to include Chuck Norris into your fanfic, but that is the only time it's okay. Even Hidan, a literal immortal, could be easily beaten with the right approach; that means that you have to tone down your insanity a little and make even the godly character beatable, to a certain extent at least. OC's (Original Characters): Okay people, I'm just gunna come out and say it. OC's can be a beautiful and amazing thing to have in your story, but they can also be the equivalent to an inside-out penis that follows after your favorite cannon character. I like OC's, i even dedicated a good portion of time into creating one, and they are great for showing originality. The fact that most OC's are based almost directly off of the writer themselves also helps you understand and connect to them, whatever that all means. There are, however, several rules that should be followed in regards to OC's and I'd like to point some of them out. An OC can not be the most powerful character in the story; it ruins things a little and takes away from entertainment value. An OC can not know everything about everything so as to give long winded explanations about random shit that no one could possibly know; if the OC was directly responsible for what they are explaining, then this rule can be overlooked. And finally, an OC must never, and i mean NEVER, be a Cocaine addict; this rule is here for a reason and must be obeyed above all others. I would like to thank MelancholyRhinestone for allowing me to use the artwork acting as the cover for my story Broken Seal, along with giving me permission to do a slight edit of the original picture. A Link to the original artwork will be available below. Personal quotes: (Yes, I made these myself) I may add more to this if I can come up with anything else worth being proud of. "We are all just an abundant collection of potentially infinite ideas filtered through a uniquely defective process of perception" “Morality is an illusion of self. Everything is merely circumstantial. Do not think that you would not make the same decisions as those around you if faced with their circumstances. No one is above anyone else, nor are we without our own sense of wrong and right. We are all simply the result of our own circumstances, and the only way to change that, is with each other” |
