Anyone else ever realised that while we, as people, have our own personalities and thought processes, in the end we are like a dog, trapped and chained to our little corner of the yard by the very emotions that supposedly belong to us? When we have a hard time and hate living, fear of death keeps us alive. When we are just a waste of space in society, emotions keep us functioning. When we have nothing to live for, they desperately coil around something to the point it becomes a obsession. While these are just examples of the negatives, once you consider these obvious answers, it is much easier to see the subtle ones. Our own emotions are like a puppeteer to our lives that we can not control. Even if we could control them, would we? Maybe a suppression of the negatives would occur but in the end, we desire to keep them for they make us who we are. So, in that case, are we really any different to a dog to our own personal piece of sanity?
