That magical night in the gazebo has faded into a wistful memory. When governess number twelve arrives at the villa, Georg's world is thrown into disarray. It's not in the words they share but in the unspoken gestures, subtle glances and meaningful silences that they begin to come together. But when Georg is brutally attacked, Maria is forced to be stronger than she ever thought possible. (Changed summary, same story)
