With the war over, Katniss has been banished to District Twelve and her mentor Haymitch Abernathy is left to watch over her, but it's Peeta that finds his way into her life. Will Katniss and Peeta be able to navigate a real romance without an entire country watching their every move? And will Katniss' temporary custodian, Gale, jeopardize the relationship they do build?

Katniss and Peeta have survived the war but must now rebuild their lives. Starts a few months after the war and follows them until the epilogue. How does Katniss open up to Peeta and agree to have children? What happens to Haymich and Gale? Does Katniss Mother come back? Will the star crossed lovers ever get out of the public eye?

Present Day A/U – Del Mar, California. Katniss Everdeen has had her share of tragedy. When Peet Mellark faces an event that changes his life, he relies on Katniss to help him through it. In return, he protects her from a terrible threat. Follow them through the twists and turns of one tumultuous year and its aftermath. (There is no Hunger Games.)

After the death of Prim's mother, she goes and lives with her Sister Katniss and Her husband Peeta. Never in a million years she would think that she would fall in love with her sisters husband .

Katniss and Peeta slowly grow back together, despite being so broken. The story begins during the final chapter of 'Mockingjay', before the epilogue, and chapters get longer and more detailed as Katniss slowly heals.
