Okay, let's be real here for a moment. I just got done writing the OUTLINE of some VERY heavy abuse to use as the "tearing down" phase of a character's current personality. A couple things I need to discuss:

1)I had to stop and tell myself to keep writing every five minutes.

2)After I finish the profile update, I'll go take a very long shower because I honestly feel like I took a dive into a pile of slime.

3)Not exaggerating. I'm now considering writing something else instead. But nothing else would work as good. So I might just scrap the fic at this point. It'll depend on how hard it'll be writing the actual chapter. Especially since events after this will border on being worse.

4)I'm not, EVER AGAIN, telling myself to go ham with anything. Because this is what happens when I do.

5)In all my years trudging through this site to find the diamonds in the rough, I've encountered a lot of smut, some involving abuse and actual rape. All have been deleted from my brain cells, but I know they are out there and people have written them. Now. To all you people out there that wrote those.

How? How do you do it? I genuinely need advice here.

Quick announcement. My already limited time will be taken up by something extra I've decided to tackle. It's going to require me spending quite a few hours in my uni's library, hours which normally go into my writing.

However, rest assured that should I be successful, you'll get a good laugh out of it when I describe what I've been doing. And, I won't stop writing, of course not. But it's not going to be weekly updates either.
