It was a bright morning, bright enough to prompt the Prince of None to draw the blinds before sitting down at his desk. He set the cup of his favorite home-brewed coffee down on the desk next to his trusty, well-worn keyboard, and booted up his computer.

After a few moments, he logged in and opened the Google Drive app. He had been struck with inspiration overnight and had jotted his idea down on a pad of paper he always kept next to his bed for such an occasion. Now, he withdrew the crumpled scrap from his pocket and smoothed it open against the wood grain of his desk.

Squinting to read his own awful handwriting, he made to decipher his scribblings. After a few moments of wondering whether a ‘b’ was a ‘b’ or an ‘h’, he finally got the gist of what had taken him the previous night.

The flame of inspiration once again roaring in the fireplace of his mind, his fingers began to dart across the keyboard like lightning, striking each key with the imagined ferocity of missiles in an airstrike. Every so often he would take a small sip of his coffee while he debated in his mind over which word to use, or whether a comma or a semicolon would be appropriate.

This continued for a few hours- but it felt like only minutes to the Prince- until he finally finished his work. Striking the final period was like signing his name in beautiful, flowing script. As he did, he leaned back in his chair and checked the time.

He chuckled to himself the way he always did when time escaped him and scrolled back to the top of the document in order to appreciate his work. He scanned the words as he scrolled, searching for an out of place quotation mark or a mixup in letters, and correcting them. Once he had finally scaled the summit of the mountain that was his work, he grinned to himself.

He was done.

Until the next idea hit him.

So yeah, I hope you liked that little thing I wrote, I wanted to introduce myself with my writing. It's kind of symbolic; anywho, I'm the Prince of None and I write fanfiction. I'm thinking about a bunch of stuff and am planning like, 6 different fics right now; I guess that's one of my weaknesses as a writer, I'll plan something for a year and never actually do anything with it.
