Probably got this from the title, but it's based on "To all the boys I've loved before". Since she was a teenager, Kathryn would write a letter to each man she has fallen in love with, keeping details of how she felt. What happens when Naomi sends them? What happens when Chakotay reads his? (Set about two or three years post endgame.)

When Lt. Paris is caught exiting the Captain's quarters in the wee hours by Commander Chakotay, the rumour mill starts. However, nothing is that simple in my universe. The timing couldn't be better for Captain Janeway. Only it leads to interesting consequences. This was supposed to be a short, funny one shot. Tom and Kate took it to another level completely.

As she sits behind the desk in her new office, Admiral Kathryn Janeway fiddles with her chair.

It's one thing to be lifted in position, taking the second chair out of necessity, in Tuvok and Chakotay's absence. But it's another altogether for him to feel like he's climbing the rank ladder by using their corpses as a step stool.

It has begun to wear on her more, being the highest ranking officer out here. And as much as she loves her job, she doesn't need the added reminder of her burden in settings that have nothing to do with it.

For two years, she waited in silence; tomorrow, she will fly again.

She could forgive him anything but this. She could forgive him anyone but this.

Only a month ago, his impulse would have been to stand- afford her some kind of respect or acknowledgment, whatever their surroundings. But here and now, he only stares at her. Silently daring her to tell him how much he's disappointed her.
