Last Tango in Halifax - I still miss Caroline and Kate, so I wanted to write a short story where they spend an afternoon together some time after the end of Series One. These characters belong to Sally Wainwright - unfortunately I am only borrowing!

Kate had left a surprise for Caroline before the whole two rooms, break up saga. I am hoping to continue on for a few chapters if the feedback isn't too bad :)

We meet Caroline and Kate as they are still just acquaintances. From chapter 6 and on some of the key scenes and dialogue from Last Tango in Halifax seasons 1-3 are sprinkled here and there while the actual story goes in a bit of a different direction. This is only the 2nd story I've ever written, so I'm learning as I go(and having a load of fun!).

She's got her dream flat, too, but there's only one problem - the intimidating headmistress lives next door. But she begins to realize that the woman next door isn't exactly what she seems...and that her discovery could have consequences both personal and professional.

It's Christmas Eve and Kate has a sudden change of heart and returns to the wedding. She asks Caroline to dance and they take to the floor, totally oblivious to anyone. This is a prequel to Last Tango in Halifax Series 1 and sets out one possibility as to how our 2 favourite ladies could have got together.

I have commandeered the characters from LTiH since the creator has taken leave of her senses and plunged into melodramatic brutality. For Kate and Caroline, there will be trials. There will be tribulation. There will be drama. But there will be no gratuitous indulgence in tired lesbian tropes.

After writing 'A Long Way to Arrive at a Kiss', I got to thinking that it might be a good idea to write a similar piece detailing how Kate found that same period of time. So, here it is. The title is taken from another exquisite Neruda poem...because it seemed appropriate.

These character's of Sally Wainwright have captured my imagination. I've never wanted a good book to end - or an exceptional Series such as Last Tango in Halifax. So I'm experimenting with taking them beyond the storyline while attempting to stay true to what Sally has given us to this point, the end of season 2. My thanks to everyone who brought this production to us.

I haven't written in a looooooong time but Last Tango in Halifax and in particular the characters of Caroline Elliott and Kate McKenzie have inspired me to try to imagine what happened after Ep6, S2 ended. The characters don't belong to me but to the immensely talented Sally Wainwright - I hope she won't mind me borrowing them & I'll try to leave them pretty much as I found them.

An alternate ending for Kate and Caroline's mucky weekend away to celebrate Kate's 42nd birthday.

A series about how Stef and Lena first meet which takes place right after episode 5 of The Fosters (Stef/Lena backseat). I had already written 11 chapters of this series before I watched episode 9 that revealed flashbacks of their first meeting. I changed a few details in my story to match the show's but I maintained a lot of my own ideas about their "love at first sight" story.

Caroline goes to visit Kate after work. Their intentions are interrupted by a phone call from Gillian about Celia's knickers. What happens after the laughter?
