![]() Author has written 3 stories for Dark Guardian series, and Twilight. Salutations! to anyone actually reading this. I've decided it's time for a profile update, seeing as I'm nearing my 5 month anniversary with fanfiction. I guess time really does fly... My name is Val, but I really hope that was a bit obvious from my username; if not, hi! I'm Val. I'm still working on two of my stories: Lucas and Kayla, and Three Months of Forever. A Pencil and a Kick is my first one-shot, my first story I've written for a contest, and the first story I've completed. Because Lucas and Kayla was the first story I published here, the first few chapters are starting to make me cringe when I re-read them. But, I hope that if you liked the beginning of L&K, then you loved the rest of it. I started writing it because I really enjoyed reading the Dark Guardian series, and I thought that playing in their world would be fun. (it was and still is!) I like to think I still have a few good twists up my sleeve for that one, so if you've been following L&K, just know it's not a clear cut to the end just yet! Three Months of Forever is an entirely different matter. I started writing TMOF because, in total honesty, I was really depressed. L&K is a great story, and I was having a lot of fun with it, but some days I literally could not sit down and write because Kayla was having such a good day in the plot. I was struck with an idea to put all my negative thoughts into a storyline. I wanted it to be emotional and touching, but also very sad. I used Twilight because Stephenie Meyer's characters were very one dimensional, and I felt that I could warp their world to fit my own needs. So much of the Twilight series revolves around Bella and Edward's romance, that a lot of plot was left dangling, in my opinion. The werewolves were only called upon when necessary, and I wondered what was going on behind the scenes. I'm currently writing about Paul and his imprint, Madison. Madison is my original character and I'm very proud of what I've created. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to PM me. I'd love to hear what you have to say. -Val :) |
