I'm a new writer working on my first novel "Story To Write," which will hopefully be published in a year or two, maybe less, on Amazon.com along with various works, in the future, on the Blurb and on the Authonomy websites.

In the meantime, I do support the Soaps by writing fanfiction stories that are based on the past and current characters of "As The World Turns" and "Night Shift" a General Hospital spin-off.

Why these two soap operas: "As The World Turns," no longer televised on TV, and "Night Shift", a past General Hospital project?

First, As The World Turns have a challenging concept of gay characters and a young teenage couple. Learning how to write fiction that portrays a gay couple and knowing how to write 'life issues' that pertains to teenagers could lead to further knowledge of such subjects.

What I noticed about gay couples is that they are often considered to be close friends. So I'll create scenes and dialogues that reflect the "closeness" of their friendships without any of the expected physical contact of hugging.

Second, since I'm interested in learning more about the medical field, I decided to write about what goes on in the lives of the characters who were in Night Shift, focusing on the hospital routine instead of the characters' usual personal lives. As a result, I'll read a lot of medical books and ask real doctors and the nurses questions, if they are willing to reply and answer.
