I'm Bug, 22, male. I think it's time to say I'm done with this place, for a long time at least. No idea when I'm coming back. Generally speaking, I'm more satisfied with life than I've been in years. And given that I reached that point after hardly coming here for months and months on end, I've drawn a conclusion I've been sitting on for a while now: This website doesn't make me happy. Being here, posting Smart Ash fics, it was a passion thing, now it just feels like trying to 'cash in'. Now it's just about trying over and over to get a brief hit of validation from a community with a bunch of homophobes, jerks, entitlement, people who will talk to you however they want, and people who will blatantly disrespect your wishes, your vision, and your attempts to explain yourself... So, I'm done. I'm not doing things like that anymore. I'm not gonna deal with that anymore. About My Writing: If you are here because you wonder where my things are, I'm truly sorry. I didn't stop writing. I did move to AO3, where I have an ongoing Pokemon journey fic, but it is not Smart Ash and I will not be putting anything old there. I think of that an account as a fresh start of sorts, so I feel conflicted about even mentioning it here at all. I'm definitely not interested in cross-posting to here. Anyway, that account is BeetlesMcGee, and the fic is called Guide Me By Your Light. It is an Alola journey, and heavy with LGBT themes, with the main pairing being Hau/Sun, so keep that in mind if you had any interest. If not, please, have a nice life. |
