2-28-17 (Status Update)

Hey guess what, I'm alive! I have no idea if anyone comes here anymore, but just in case you do, any future writing I do will be over on AO3 under the name demishock. There isn't much there because I don't write a whole lot these days, but as of this post, there's a Final Fantasy IX fic, a Free! fic, and a Final Fantasy XV fic. Thanks to everyone who's read and commented on this collection over the years and I hope folks continue to enjoy them from here on out. I just don't have the time or patience to format all my stuff two different ways, so I probably won't be cross-posting any future works. I'm also demishock on tumblr, so if you want to chat about any of the various fandoms I've been in over the years, hit me up!

1-29-12 (Status Update)

I have GOT to stop going an entire year without posting anything. Two fics tonight: Killing Time, a Dissidia 012 fic explaining why Yuna uses guns as her default weapon in Final Fantasy X-2, and The Greatest Gift of All, my shmoopy attempt at writing an Autobot Christmas fic set in the Transformers: Prime universe, that I'm posting a month into the New Year, like a boss.

1-13-11 (Status Update)

Dang It's been almost a whole year. T_T; Well, I've got FOUR fics going up today, in various degrees of old. First up, Everything in Perspective, an FFX fic about Auron's first day in the dream Zanarkand and his first meeting with Tidus and his mother. Then I have Before the Beginning, which is kind of a what-if scenario in which a young Axel (better known as Lea) runs into an even younger Kairi, and the saccharine cuteness that ensues. One Small Problem is my first attempt at writing a fic for the newest love of my fandom life, Megamind. It takes place pre-movie, and involves hijinks with a shrink ray. Finally, we're ending on a bit of a dark note with Time to Choose, another Megamind fic, in which I try to fill in a deleted scene during the time when Hal has Roxanne trapped at the top of Metro Tower. Roxanne tries to come to terms with the fact that nothing she's ever known is what she once thought it to be.

2-15-10 (Status Update)

Posting a bit of my backlog today. It's about time. First up, Surprise, Surprise, a Kingdom Hearts fic revolving around Demyx's first mission for the Organization, on which Axel accompanies him, much to their mutual horror. It was an attempt on my part to explain why Axel sticks up for Demyx in that one conversation with Roxas and Xion during 358/2 Days. Then, the much shorter, much more serious Just a Glimmer which I wrote right after I beat the game when I was still baww-ing over the ending.

Finally, it is my great pleasure to inform everyone that one of my fics, A Very Zanarkand Christmas, was recently recorded as an audio/podfic! I was approached about it a few weeks ago completely out of nowhere, and I'm still completely stunned and flattered that anyone would like one of my fics enough to do that. 6-23-09 (Status Update)

What's this? Two fics in a month?! Haha. Anyway, I just posted another birthday-gift fic: Pieces of Happiness, a Diego/Mia (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney) fic. Haven't written romance in a while, so I felt kind of rusty until I got their particular dynamic down. It's not really explicit, either, but I think that's what I like about it. I wanted it to be subtle. The fic spans the entire six month period after the Terry Fawles case and then in the final section, it skips to just after Mia defends Phoenix. HinoMiko16, who I wrote it for, really liked it and wanted me to share it immediately, so I hope other people like it as well. :)

Hey people, I'm Liz, and I was born in 1987; you do the math. I used to just write Yu-Gi-Oh! fics, but now that the series is over, while I still enjoy writing about it, I'm trying to branch off into other fandoms, too.

Why "Cassandra Cassidy" as the penname? Cassandra Cassidy was originally a Mary Sue character that I created but thankfully never tried to write anything about. Now it's just a name that I really like.

I love reviews. I don't care if they're good or bad, although constructive is best.
