I'm 38 years young. An accountant. Fan of Femslash, esp. the women of Star Trek Voyager and Babylon 5. I was a Kes fan and miss her on the show. It took me some time to accept Seven of Nine, but now she is my most fav character. Love Seven/B'elanna, Seven/Janeway, and Seven/other fe. Seven and Chakotay was a MISTAKE. Chakotay with any woman on Voyager is a MISTAKE. Nuff said.

Babylon 5. I love the twosome of Susan Ivanova and Talia Winters. Good stories on these two are hard to find. If I could write, I would write stories on these two together.

The types of stories I like are ones that are well written, with decent grammar, have an actual story line, and revolves around grown-up relationships. I'm not partial to PWPs and stories that have their main point as sex, multiple partners, bondage, master-slave, and male-female role playing between two women. The last one is usually found in Seven/B'elanna stories. Seven is a strong character and it irks me to see her as B'elanna's slave, pet, or the simpering fem that needs big bad butchy B'elanna to take care of her and tell her what to do.

I do enjoy a well written sex scene that does not go into the crude or crass, and is not the main point of the story. All too often I will read a story ruined by sex scenes that seem to be 'forced' in, and are crude.

I like my stories to have the main protagonists stay in character by acting and talking as they should. Nothing irks me more then to have Seven, B'elanna, and Janeway act out of character and talk like sixteen year olds at a slumber party. Yes, I have read a few poorly written fanfics that have them acting like teens.

Song fics are the sorriest excuse for fanfic stories that I know. This is for untalented writers, if you can call them writers, who don't have an original story thought in their head and quote a lot of song lyrics that are popular for just a few short weeks and no one can remember them after a year. I have read some pretty sorry stories on this board that quoted more percentage of words from a song than original story line. And the only story part was that Seven sings a song to B'elanna or Janeway. IF you are going to do a song fic, please make up your own lyrics and have Seven sing that. Why not have B'elanna or Janeway sing? LOL, or have Janeway TRY to sing. Nuff said.
