It had only been the new year for a week, but Lily Evans had already broken almost all of her new years resolutions. In which Lily can't stop thinking about stupid James Potter, even though her new years resolutions stated that that was definitely not supposed to happen.

Surely it would be odd to enter his room in the middle of the night, and Lily didn't want to give him the wrong impression, but in that moment she could think of no-one better to sit with whilst she banished thoughts of her parents, of her sister. Lily has a nightmare, and seeks comfort in James Potter, who could never resist a particular redhead.

Lily Evans was a kind of glorious. Her hair lit up her surroundings, and her eyes caused you to forget about everything for a while. This James Potter reflected as he sat, firewhiskey in hand, regarding the head girl with a strange kind of solitude. Lily never realised how difficult it would be for her to raise a child, especially with James away for long periods of time. She can't cope with being on her own any more; she needs James more than she ever realised.
