I am a 30-plus Finnish man. I have liked the works of J.R.R. Tolkien since 2001, when I saw the movie Fellowship of the Ring. The movie got me to read the book also. I write only book-verse stories, since although I found the movies very enjoyable and captivating, they don't follow the plot of the original story faithfully enough. But well, that's only my opinion. I'm, not very fanatic about it and sometimes enjoy reading movie-verse stories, too. My inspiration comes more from the histories told in the Appendices and the Silmarillion than from the LotR proper. I try to keep as close to canon as I can, so don't expect any "tenth walker"-stories from me (I define "canon", however, a bit loosely). Since English isn't my first language, I'll appreciate any corrections to my grammar, punctuation etc. I appreciate reviews and now that I finally have puzzled out the answer system, I try to answer to every reviewer.

The profile avatar is 'cause I am a Wagnerian and therefore like valkyrias. (By the way, Wagner's music and Tolkien's books really enhance each other when listened while reading, try it some time!)

Formerly my pen name was Caranthol, but I changed it to so as to finally use a single name for my Tolkien stories in different sites (it is Formegil in every other place, too). As you can see, this profile still contains and will contain my earlier stories. I am not sure how much new content I am able to produce due to time constraints, but we'll see. One project I have in mind is to rewrite and republish the earliest ones, now that my style has evolved.
